This looks nice! It would probably be worth making it explicitly clear to users that the app requesting authentication won't actually receive their mobile phone number (if that is indeed the case). That may alleviate some of the trust issues and worries about getting spammed. How does the signup process work when a user first uses Copper? Is that signup form short?
Facebook announced in f8 that they've been testing something like this. Instead of connecting with Facebook account, they will make it easier to log in with a code sent to telephone number. I liked the design of your product. Good luck, Emre

Not outside US phone numbers yet?

@pascualaparicio works for some countries like some people mentioned above UK, SA, NL - didn't work for me too (India)

What information are you able to gather using email and mobile number? I used your demo but don't see anything I didn't enter. One of the benefits of social sign up is inheriting data

@jmacias create yourself an app at https://withcopper.com/apps, and scroll down to the "Take Copper for a test drive section" to see what's possible. Feedback and suggestions for additional records are welcome.

@dougw Got it. So is the plan that you will keep and share users information? For example if someone signs up with copper on product a and adds name, address, shipping, etc. when they go to product B after the text verification is all of the information pre-populated for them to enter? If so is the real value only visible in a few months when you have had people implement and use this so that you can collect the data to use for others?

@jmacias you've got it. We store your personal information with your phone number. When you use that to sign up to a service, we give it back to you so that you can share it without repeating yourself. With each use and integration, the network gets stronger for everyone. So, all boats rise with the tides. Imagine how easy it'd be to try new products launching on PH if everyone used Copper :) By the way, what OS and browser are you using / getting stuck on in the confirmation step?

Looks nice! Quick question though, why should one go with Copper instead of Facebook Account Kit for example?

I love the use of emojis to celebrate verification - gives me validation that the code I entered was received, and entices excitement. Nice touch!

Great idea! No scale it fast!

So many passwords to remember or lookup. I like how simple this is put together so far

@kakers1789 we really appreciate this. We have the same feeling. I like to say that we're just frustrated users of the Internet, solving our own problem. It shouldn't be so hard to build for and use products on the web.

Interesting idea! I like it, however, from the user perspective it seems like the benefit is closely tied to how many companies adopt Copper as a way to authenticate vs. the having the users choose to authenticate via Copper. (unless I'm misunderstanding completely) Would be a cool capability to figure out a way to allow users to choose to authenticate with Copper even though the product they're signing up for currently doesn't support :)

I like this option of being able to log in with something else than FB and G+. Its also faster and less complicated to confirm than with the email where I can to open a different app. Very good product guys. I'll see to use it on our next product.
