We're excited to release an awesome update for Convoy that supports 5 platforms including SMS, Slack, Telegram, Hangouts and Kik. You can now have a one-on-one anonymous conversation that's cross-platform no matter where it gets started from. We've also added features like Passport, which lets you start a conversation with someone in a specific location, and Date, which matches you with others you're interested in to talk.

As Jordan mentioned, We have 2 major updates. We now support Convoy on Telegram, Kik, Slack and even Google Hangouts. The cool part is the interoperability. Irrespective of the platform, you get connected to someone using convoy. The second update includes Passport & Date. Try them out :)

Any plans to extend this to other platforms? Looks like you could widen your market massively by adding Skype and WhatsApp support
Shiv
@jamiequackers Absolutely. WhatsApp does not have support for Bots yet. And we are actually waiting to hear back from Skype. So hopefully soon!

About time! I will try this out. Thanks for putting this together.

Any plans for a webapp?
Shiv
@ambonium so that depends on the platform you are on. Slack and telegram have their web app versions already. Currently we don't have any plans of having a standalone app 😸

Interesting, but will not have the juice to crack the anonymous market done right. The "Why" is missing so much when I use this app, it feels way too forced, when people are bored they use Snapchat, FB, Twitter..etc retention will be your biggest enemy.
Shiv
@koridhandy Thank you for your feedback. So with convoy, you dont have to necessarily initiate a convoy every time from your end. You can get randomly matched when someone starts a convoy somewhere. You can either chose to go ahead with that conversation or 'stop' it. If you don't want to be matched, you can always do 'delete'.
