For those of us that want to keep our current code -> PR -> review flow, can codestream just help us look at PRs in our IDE and add github comments there instead of in github? This would let individual people on our team opt in to the tool without forcing everyone to use it and it would make our current Github based flow much better because I can review code in my IDE

@aloo great question! we refer to that functionality as PR2CR (pull request to code review) and it's something we're actively working on, and expect to have in a few weeks. what we do have today is CR2PR where you can do the code review on codestream first, and then push it to a PR.

This product revolutionized the way our programmers and optimizers worked. It enabled them to truly understand what the other one actually does, and to enter into the kind of granular discussions about our code that we'd never dreamed about. There's a record of every discussion, the code is edited and optimized in real-time, and all the usual headaches that mar QA and cause delayed launches were gone. This product outperformed even the most seasoned code reviewer, as it keeps everything in one place, with all notes kept right where they should be—with the exact code being discussed. I don't use the word 'innovative' much, because I think it's overused, but these guys are innovators. They raised our game. HIGHLY recommended.

@ian_hough thank you so much for the kind words Ian. it's great to see someone see in practice what our vision has always been. we'll keep innovating as long as we hear back from customers that what we're doing is solving real problems. thank you again!

@peter_pezaris The pleasure's all mine, Peter. Thank YOU.

I am using Codestream in a fun fullstack project using VS Code (Fullstack React App), small team...but it did wonders in productivity. Just started to use it in IntelliJ for my Java job...can't live without it anymore!
Peter Pezaris
@jensduray thanks Jens! let us know how we can make it better for IntelliJ :)

I've used CodeStream before briefly and it's an amazing tool to work with. Keeping both the development process and code review right in the IDE just makes things so much easier!
Peter Pezaris
@baileypumfleet thanks Bailey! hope you get the chance to use it again :)

Congrats on the launch! Reminds me of Figma but for code, long overdue product. I'm glad you're building it, Peter!

I work in the financial sector and we've got strict infosec requirements. Is there an on-prem option?
David Hersh
@drasquash Yep, we've got an on-prem solution. More details can be found here: https://docs.codestream.com/onprem/

Looks amazing, any quick tips on how to introduce to the dev team I work with?
Peter Pezaris
@jay_dombroski we've found the best way is to get your team together for a live demo and Q&A via zoom, which we offer for free as part of onboarding. contact support@codestream.com if you'd like to set it up.

Do you have a GitHub Enterprise integration or just the cloud version?
David Hersh
@sachbiz - Yep! We definitely have an integration with GitHub Enterprise. You can create issues on GHE from CodeStream, and you can also create a pull request and link it to a code review done on CodeStream.
