Weekend build: Chini.fit – Find Hidden Sugar in Meals. Is this actually useful or just a toy?
Hey PH 👋
I just launched Chini.fit – Find Hidden Sugar in Meals and realised there’s a product forum here, so I’d love to use this to get some real feedback, not just upvotes.
Quick story:
I had a scary blood sugar phase a while back. Every solution I tried wanted me to track every bite, gram and calorie. I’d last 3 days and quit. So during a weekend hackathon I built something lighter:
Instead of full tracking, you share a photo or short description of your meal and get rough-but-useful feedback on how “sugar-heavy” it looks + simple swap ideas.
What it does today (MVP):
Meal photo or text → quick “light / medium / heavy” style feedback for sugar & metabolic health
A few suggested tweaks (add this, swap that) instead of strict diets
Very early—more about building awareness than precision
What it’s not:
Not a medical device
Not a replacement for CGMs, meters or doctors
Not meant for dosing decisions—more like a low-friction “second opinion” on meals for beginners
What I’d really love from this community:
Is this solving a real problem, or is it just a nice idea?
Who do you think this is actually for? Newly sugar-conscious people? Diet starters? Nobody?
If you were me and could only build one next feature, what would you ship?
Here’s the PH page if you want to see it in context:

Happy to take hard feedback—would rather hear “kill it” than spend 6 months polishing the wrong thing. 🙏
