This is very interesting! Can't wait to play around with it!

@markoxvee Thanks Marko!

With the new revelation by @nero that Twitter is hell banning users it doesn't agree with politically. I have serious doubts about the long term viability of platform products like this @erictwillis This is a fantastic idea. I've been a private and public list power user for almost 8 years now and realize the power of segmenting Twitter into interests. Kudos!
Eric Willis
@blendahtom Hey Tom! It's been a while! I hope everything is fine with you. I believe channels will open things up for non-power users who don't fully grasp the power of lists nor have the time/desire to curate them.

This sound really interesting. So I guess what you're doing is trying to mix twitter and reddit. This might make BIG sense. 179-th in the queue. Can't wait to start playing with it.
Eric Willis
@aramiggs We appreciate the kind words, Aram.

@erictwillis cool idea. One of the data elements that might fall out of these communities is incredible metadata (accounts who participate; where they are located; topics they discuss in the small groups). Is your long term vision to build a free service that might be supported by advertiser-sponsored channels or do you have another revenue model in mind?
Eric Willis
@grmeyer You're very close to what I'm thinking. I also think it would be awesome to do a revenue share with the channel owners (opt-in advertising for their channel(s). If you have a huge number of people chatting about a live sporting event, there are some interesting things you could do to engage them during game breaks, etc.
Greg Meyer
@erictwillis yes, fine line between "sponsored content", e.g. interactives during breaks and "landing pages", which end up looking like ads. There may also be an interesting business here creating a parallel landing page using the same technology (imagine the NBA asking you whether you like the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Golden State Warriors better, and then using that data to build a lead list for single-ticket and subscription leads).

@erictwillis @mubashariqbal @sethlouey Looks slick, just waiting to move up the wait list now 😉 Also loving the new logo, I see it now - a chipmunk looking to the left - doh! 🤦

Just signed up. Very excited to see something like this!

@ninthart Thanks!

This is an awesome idea! I've always found it difficult to find really focused communities, especially on Twitter. Or annoyingly, you can always tell when it's a bot programmed to add people to lists. Any idea when Android will be available? And is Twitter going to be the only channel (what with all the news going on about fewer MAUs?)
Eric Willis
@carylyne Hey Carylyne. We don't have a timeline on Android yet (I know Android user are to tired of hearing that). I think it's important for us to nail the experience on one platform first. No, Twitter will likely just be one channel. Thanks for the question!

Congrats on the launch!

What would you say is the core difference between Chalk and your product?
Charles Jo
Looking forward to trying it out.
Eric Willis
@charlesjo Hey Charles. I need to drop in SSG. I haven't been there for a while, but I always hear great things about the way you're running it.
Charles Jo
@erictwillis It's possible that Chatmunk could take SSG to new levels.
Eric Willis
@charlesjo We should do a Skype call or I can drop into SSG so we can chat.
Seth Louey
@charlesjo @erictwillis I like where your head is at. :)
Charles Jo
@sethlouey @erictwillis SSG Slack & Twitter DM are most convenient :)
