CharlieHR - The HR software for small and medium sized businesses.

Charlie is an online HR software for SME's. We believe that building a business is hard, so running one shouldn't be. When you’re working hard to bring your ideas to life, your first priority should be your team, not your admin. We created CharlieHR to solve the challenges that we faced while starting our own businesses.

Looks fantastic, would love to implent this instead of BambooHR at our Company. But its too UK centric at the moment :(

@fabian_spielberger Hold that thought Fabian! We've got lots of US customers and can definitely help as we'll be launching a US version soon. Get in touch at rob@charliehr.com and I can make sure we let you know as soon as it's ready 😊

How does CharlieHR and something like Zenefits or Gusto work together or can they coexist? I am sure there is crossover on some features, right? Curious. Thanks.
Rob O'Donovan
@paisano Zenefits and Gusto are only available in the US right now. There's a lot of crossover, yes, but I think we'll increasingly find that becomes less the case over the coming months 😊

I've been using Charlie HR for our current and new start up. It's great for organising and on boarding new employees. Definitely worth trying.

@benjameslambert awesome stuff and great to hear Ben, thanks ✌️

Hi Rob, That's really great project. Congratulatiıons to all! I jut wondered what technologies and languages did you use for Charlie? Thanks and big lucks!

Despite the flaws, the service was generally solid and helped our organisation with its HR. But despite numerous promises to keep the core service free, they've gone back on their word and implemented charges. No warning, no discussion and just 6 weeks to move to a new service or they close our account.

It took a good deal of time and effort to get things going in the first place, but now we're going to look elsehwhere, because even though the price isn't too bad, what's to stop them increasing it next year, and again the year after that? Once a company is shown to be untrustworthy, you cant make a long term commitment to it.

Pros:

Does the basics well.

Cons:

Promised a free core service forever, went back on their word.

Hi Scius. As with Dhruv above, I really understand where you're coming from and I'm really sorry we let you down. This hasn't been an easy decision but we're convinced it's the best thing for our customers and will enable us to deliver what we do best for many more small companies in the long term. If I can help at all please let me know: rob@charliehr.com

We use CharlieHR at Born Social and it's been an absolute godsend! Has saved us all a lot of time, making booking time off and checking the team's calendar incredibly easy. Would 100% recommend these guys!

We've been using CharlieHR for about 9 months now. And I have mixed feelings. I can see how its user-centric approach and simplicity will be great for larger teams. For a small team, it doesn't really deliver any more value than GSuite and Sheets - it's a real shame that the free subscription doesn't exist anymore. We're thinking of cancelling for now.
