Blogcast - Turn your articles into audio

👋 Hey Product Hunt! I'm Miguel Piedrafita, a 17-year-old maker. 🗓After resting on the holidays, I decided I wanted to build something. And, to make everything more interesting, I decided I wanted to finish it in a week. 💡The idea came from realizing I don't have enough time to read all the awesome content out there. Reading requires your complete attention during the length of the article. But audio doesn't! So I decided to build something that turned existing articles into audio, in hopes of increasing both my audience and the amount of content I consume. 🚧I worked consistently on Blogcast during the whole week, logging my progress on Makerlog, Twitter and 200 Words a Day. I also wrote a big article detailing all the process on my blog. 🚀Super excited to launch this! Let me know if you have any questions :)

I implemented blogcadt across my blog to make it easier for people to consume our content, this is especially helpful as it’s a fitness based company so people can listen to our articles while working out! The experience has been excellent so far, and any issues I did encounter were very quickly resolved. I couldn’t recommend blogcast enough, I can’t wait to see where this product goes!

Pros:

Super simple to use, high quality audio, great price.

Cons:

It would be great to have some analytics down the line, but this isn’t vital, and hasn’t impacted the product in any way for me.

From sign-up to downloading the first article audio it took me less than five minutes. The processing of the audio took me less than 20 seconds for a article with 1125 words (6858 characters without spaces) to be generated. Will use again.

Pros:

- blazing fast - awesome price policy - good quality - almost flawless gramatical pronounciation

Cons:

- problems with enumerations

@m1guelpf has been working hard on this app. Super inspiring to see a 17-y-o maker make and market his own product as well as he does :) Keep it up! Amazing job right there ☝️

Congrats on the launch @m1guelpf! With the popularity of podcasts + voice applications + Airpods and other smart headphones, more and more people will want to take their eyes off their screens and listen to content instead. Blogcast can play a big role in this new wave of audio products! 🙌

Congrats on the launch, such a great product! Any plans to integrate different styles of voice tones?

Something I was looking for. Great going. I would have signed up and placed my first order if onboarding can be improved.

This is a great product, just a shame TTS is not yet as good as natural speech, but we're getting there and this product is good enough, practical more than pleasant, and solves and actual problem. Keep it up!
