Hello Product Hunt! Today I launched Makerlog, the task log that helps you stay productive and ship faster. 🛠 It's super-simple: log every day what you've done, and we'll give you useful stats. It help makers get things done through positive reinforcement. 💚 It has some nifty features: 1. Integrations 🔌: Makerlog works with you. It supports apps like Trello, GitHub, and Slack. And if those aren't your cup of tea, you can post from anywhere using Webhooks! 2. Stats 📈: Makerlog keeps you productive by showing you stats based on how frequent you log and other metrics. And they're 🔥! 3. Community 🏡: You can follow your favorite makers and see what they're up to! Also hang out in our Slack and play with Makebot. Inspired by wip.chat, it started as an alternative, but flourished into it's own product. I hope you guys like it, and looking forward to your feedback!

Hello, I tried WIP.chat but was put off by the endless stream of meme GIFs - it felt like a group of children.

@petecodes Can confirm, no memes, just positivity! 💚

Sergio has been keeping the Makers Kitchen Slack group updated on this project and I'm happy this finally launched!

While others might say Makerlog is a WIP clone, I personally see Makerlog as an innovation of WIP. The problem with WIP is it's chat-based. Why should someone have to type in commands just to create tasks and at the same time be bombarded with messages from other members? I get that the tasks from WIP are displayed onto a separate website via commands, but Makerlog totally removes that.

Pros:

This is what WIP SHOULD have been from the beginning

Cons:

None!

It is easy to copy a thing, but building it from scratch, like wip.chat, is the real deal.
I know Sergio and we watched him build makerlog from the ground up. With the influx of communities that are coming up, makerlog stands out in many ways as Sergio mentioned in his greeting comment. Simple and addresses a problem. Communities drive each other forward 🙂

I've been using Makerlog for one week now and it's been amazing! My two favourite things are the support you get from the community and the 'streaks' which motivate you to get something useful done every day!

Pros:

Easy to use, great design, motivates you, supportive community

Cons:

None!
