Hey there! One year ago we launched Basedash on Product Hunt—back then I was still in school and working on the product alone in my bedroom 😅. Since then we've made huge progress: we went through Y Combinator, raised money from some incredible investors, and started building a team of amazing builders (and still growing!). Our goal with Basedash is to build the best tool for teams to edit data, starting with SQL databases. We've been relentlessly building towards that vision, and we're excited to show you where we're at. Today, we're announcing our new brand, and a ton of new features that we've been working on for the past year, aimed towards making your database editable, collaborative, protected, and usable. We've shipped over 100 improvements—here are the biggest ones: - Full rebrand and redesign - New "list" layout for your data - View builder with more customization options - Rich new data editors, including date pickers, dropdowns, and searchable foreign key lists - Support for Airtable bases, with full SQL query support - New security configuration options to control exactly what data should be editable and accessible - Generous new free plan for small teams - New database connection flow that makes it 2x faster to add your database - Slack alerts, for whenever a record is created that meets certain conditions - Huge performance improvements, with more to come

The product's gone a long way since last year, congrats on the launch!

@yunyu Thanks! Can't wait to launch all of the other improvements we have planned this year. Just getting started!

Basedash has come such a long way from the last launch. The product feels so much more mature. I've really enjoyed reading the Changelogs and how quickly your team ships features. Excited to continue using the product. Also, love the rebrand! Good job, team
Max Musing
Thanks @sarimmalik! The weekly changelog has been a big motivator for us to ship regularly, I think it's paid off :)

Great job on the rebrand! It’s amazing to see you ship constantly and improve
Tom Johnson
Thanks @jpvalery! Shipping weekly has been a huge motivator for us to make sure we're always finding ways to make Basedash better.

It's amazing to see how far BaseDash has come and the new redesign ❤️

Thanks @shaun_maclellan1! It's some of the most fun I've had working with a brand and product in a long time.

Basedash is one of my fave 2021 discoveries. I've built so many internal CRUD apps that can be replaced with Basedash + a sensible Postgres schema and role permissions.
Tom Johnson
Totally agree, @colin_dellow. I spent most of my career designing or working with internal apps that ended up on the legacy stack. It was one of the main reasons to join the team. Lots left to do, but excited to keep building!

Have been using Basedash for a few months now and love the product. I use it as an admin dashboard for every project I spin up!
Tom Johnson
Thanks @luke_byrne5! Glad you're getting a lot of benefit from it. Let us know if there's anything we can do to make it even better!

Congratulations on the design and security overhaul, ?makers! Basedash always stays a step ahead of the features I want. The fine-grained permission experience is approachable to start but also scales with my data. The best part is how quickly new features and bugfixes are shipped. Can't wait to see what's next!
Tom Johnson
Thanks @tedspare, glad that our new features are helping! It's great being on a team that can build and improve quickly.
