Hi Product Hunt!
I'm the founder of Badango, a London based startup. We are trying to disrupt the travel industry by changing the way you book hotels.
Most hotels have varying rates on a daily basis. You could be paying Marriott $250 on Wednesday and $100 on Thursday.
Committing to stay in a single hotel for a given period means you will have to put up with higher nightly rates and spend your holiday in a single location. We found a simple alternative. You can just switch to a cheaper hotel when rates spike in one hotel, saving money while exploring different parts of your destination.
Our algorithm has found savings up to 80% on peak holiday season and last minute bookings. You can do really interesting combinations like staying on the cheaper nights of two 5-star hotels instead of staying in one hotel for the whole duration and it could work out to be as cheap as the next available 3* hotel.
We have partnered with Priceline and Hotelbeds to bring the first and only hotel+hotel package holiday deals in the world. So if you chose a hotel combination from one of our pre-selected deals you will be getting the cheapest rates on the internet as it will count as a package holiday.
My personal favourite feature is being able to find cheap partially available rooms on last-minute bookings even during peak season. When you search for a room on a given period on conventional booking platforms like booking.com, the results you will be presented with is the available hotels for the whole duration of that period. If a hotel is fully booked on a single day within that search period, it will not show up in the search results.
We display all of the available hotels with nightly rates in a calendar format, giving you the option to manually combine partially available hotels. If the hotel you want to stay at is not available on Saturday, stay there from Monday to Friday and move to a hotel nearby on Saturday.
You can specify the distance between hotels, so you could switch to the hotel next door or to a hotel on the other side of the city if you want a change in scenery.
Calendar mode only works on a desktop as the mobile screen is limited. We're trying to work out an efficient way to implement it but otherwise, other features are fully functional on the mobile also.
I'm very excited to hear your feedback and suggestions!
Thank you in advance
Tahir
