Aviquill - The GDD That Takes You From The Vision To The Final Game

Your every day notebook makes mechanics hard to explain, causes team misalignment, and leads to costly rework. Get the best note taking app for developers that sees your vision too.

Hey everyone, I'm the creator of Aviquill. I started building it because every time I worked on a game, the usual note apps fell apart. Once you're tracking mechanics, quests, characters, systems, prototypes, and all the random ideas that show up during development, a normal doc or wiki turns into a giant wall of text you avoid opening. I wanted something that actually fits how game devs think. More visual, more spatial, something that lets you lay out ideas the same way you sketch systems on paper or whiteboards. A place where you can break a project into smaller pockets of space, branch ideas, keep references nearby, and not lose everything the moment the project gets big. Aviquill is still early, and I'm always tweaking things, but it's at a point where I want more devs to try it and push its limits. If you're a game dev who jumps between tools, rewrites the same notes, or feels like your current setup fights you, I'd love to hear what you think. Thanks for checking it out.

Finally a tool built for people who actually design mechanics for a living. Mapping out state changes on a notebook page always felt like fighting the medium.

Yes, we game devs don't have many tools built specifically for us, so I decided to make my own.
