I feel grateful I was able to join Appwrite earlier this year. I joined because open source is a huge part of my passion and roots. I joined because Appwrite has such a strong open source community of builders and contributors. The way the community interacts and cares so much made me fall in love with the community. It makes me happy to see testimonials and comments from others who have experienced building with Appwrite. You are all amazing ❤️❤️❤️

Thank you! So much more still to come 😁
My journey with Appwrite started when I looked for an open source alternative to Firebase. Little did I know, I would discover such a fantastic product and community! I love not having to build the same repetitive APIs while still having the flexibility to add custom logic with Appwrite Functions. Appwrite has evolved drastically thanks to the feedback of our supportive community. I know it's only going to get even better! 🚀
WE LOVE YOU XD
The story of how you went from a contributor to joining our team is amazing too. I'm so glad you are part of the team! ❤️
You had a major impact on everything we do and everything we are! Thank you Steven!

My Appwrite story started over a year and a half ago, around version 0.7. I wanted to use Appwrite for a personal project but also wanted to use an Android SDK which did not yet exist, so I made it exist, and got to start interacting with the community. That quickly turned from a weekend project into my dream job. Never saw this journey coming but I'm so thankful that it happened. What an amazing community, team, and product ❤️
"I wanted to use Appwrite for a personal project but also wanted to use an Android SDK which did not yet exist, so I made it exist" That's such a bad ass line!
