@elen_u I have the new MacBook Air with 8GB of RAM. Coming from a PC world I thought it would be too low, but I've been pleasantly surprised, due to the M1 chip.
@leandro8209 true, 8-16GB might be ok for me as a content writer since I usually don't need more than a Google Doc to get things done (ok, maybe 10-20 Chrome tabs too 😅) but we've been planning to update my husband's iMac (which currently has 24GB) so 16GB max came as an unpleasant surprise for us. Maybe they will add more options later, will see! The colors are pretty though 😁
@elen_u Oh wow, if he's coming from 24GB of RAM then that will be a readjustment. Again, the chip changes everything though. 8GB feels like 16 GB to me.

@elen_u ram on an m1 vs an intel is different situations so you cant really compare 8gb on a m1 vs 32gb on an intel

@elen_u I added an extra 8Gb to my M1 MacBook Air...was not necessary. I can run dozens and dozens of Chrome tabs, Safari, Word, Point, Excel (multi tabs, multi sheets), Swift Publisher, Transmit, Hey email client, Pixelmator Pro...the list goes on and on. I as yet have not managed to run this device 'out of memory' - the M1 memory mgmt is like living in the future.
this screen to body ratio is ugly.. why not make it thicker and place the pc behind the display? looks like a computer for children

Trying to decide what color to get. Might end up getting two 😂

A big iPad on a stand.

This white display frame looks really confusing. Black was better? Why would they make a stationary computer so thin instead of hiding this massive chin behind the screen? Make it even 10mm thicker but frameless, no?
