Finally, an inbox you'll look forward to. Agents sort your messages, draft your replies, and clear the grunt work behind the scenes, all in a client so well-crafted that email feels light, fast, fun.
I just want to thank everyone for the time they took out of their day to support us and cheer us on. Because of you we won Product of the Day. This means a lot as truly believe in making email something you can enjoy. I can’t wait for everything that’s to come! Thanks again 🧡 Shout out to the whole team
Nobody on the team has spent more time thinking about how email should feel than Joseph (@amperisk). A huge part of why people enjoy using Upstream is because of his work ❤️ Thank you Joseph 🙏
@amperisk thank you so much for driving this whole Product Hunt launch. So well deserved 🧡 Product of the Day is on you and the energy you brought to this all week. Grateful to be building this with you and the team. Onto what's next 🐟
Really like the focus on inbox triage rather than just AI writing. Knowing what actually needs attention is probably the biggest email problem today. Congrats on the launch!
Thanks @anusuya_bhuyan , that's exactly the problem we’re trying to solve ❤️

Rethinking the client instead of inventing a new protocol is the right call — email is where the users already are. My operator question: does Upstream work on a shared or team inbox (a support@ or community alias) where several people and the agents draft into the same threads, or is it modeled around one person's personal mailbox? And when it adapts your voice per recipient, is that learned per-individual, or can a team share one consistent brand voice for outbound?

How do your email agents learn a user's preferences and writing style over time while ensuring they don't make high-impact decisions without the user's confidence or approval?

Designing for both humans and AI agents feels like a very different challenge than simply adding AI to email.
Curious—what workflow made you realize the inbox itself needed to be redesigned rather than enhanced?

@anuhas_ranasinghe thanks! We’ve found that deciding what deserves attention is indeed often harder than writing the reply itself :)
