Review Simple Commenter?
Reviewers praise Simple Commenter for its clean, intuitive interface and frictionless setup that gets teams collecting on-page feedback within minutes. Agencies and freelancers say it cuts email and Slack back-and-forth, speeds revisions, and keeps client input clear and centralized. Users highlight responsive support, thoughtful updates, and sensible features like client links and webhooks. A few note minor glitches with comment placement but report reliable performance overall. Many switched from bulkier tools and now consider it essential for client reviews, internal collaboration, and even PDFs and knowledge-base content.

I've used various commenting tools and Simple Commenter is the one that stuck. It is easy to use, easy to install and makes communication between my assistant and myself seamless. Very reasonably price too. The developer is very responsive to ideas and suggestions which is great.
What needs improvement
All suggestions I made was implemented very quicky, so at the moment I have nothing to suggest!
Simple Commenter has changed the way I work. It is so well thought out and constantly updated. I login and see updates that are so well implemented but it never feels like any of the simplicity was compromised. As for the actual real world use, I won’t start a project without it. I look even more professional to my clients because of this. The usefulness is off the charts. My clients have been engaged like never before. I had a larger website project that stalled because they couldn’t get around to editing the content or provide corrections. A year later I added Simple Commenter and showed them, 3 weeks later the project was launched. Real world value!

Thank you so much for this incredible review! I love the story on how it helped you revive a stalled project. Also, keeping it simple has always been top priority, even as we've added so many powerful new features (which can make it tricky to maintain intuitive navigation).
I've been using Simple Commenter for a while, and collecting client feedback has become incredibly easy. Clients can mark up the live site or PDFs directly, which removes the need for long email threads and confusing screenshots. The interface is clean and intuitive, so even non-technical clients leave clear, actionable notes without any training.
Integration into our workflow was quick, and handling comments has sped up our review cycles significantly. I highly recommend it for agencies and freelancers who want faster, more organized feedback.

Simple Commenter offers a sleek, user-friendly interface that makes feedback collection refreshingly simple. Whether you're working with clients or refining your own website, the platform keeps the process streamlined and accessible. In my workflow, I pair it with web conferencing tools, allowing attendees to leave comments directly on project materials. I also see strong potential for using it to gather feedback on knowledge bases, making it a versatile solution for both live collaboration and ongoing content improvement.

After Markup changed it's plan pricing drastically, I was looking for an alternative with affordable options to share with my newer web design students and to use with my own clients. So far, Simple Commenter and Pastel are seemingly the only options that fall into that category.
While using, there were a 2-3 glitches with comment placement out of 25-50 comments, but I'm sure bugs like those will get worked out over time with more users & feedback; otherwise it worked very well, even on a live website while 'hiding' the comments & widget from viewers. Overall my clients LOVED using Simple Commenter on their website revisions, saying it was way better than using Markup in past projects. Huge win!
It'll be interesting to see where SC goes from here!

I was looking around at a range of web feedback platforms, but most of them are big and complex with seat licenses and required accounts. Simple commenter was a breathe of fresh air - easy to install and with the minimal level of fuss to get commenters started. I can send people a link and they can leave me feedback on the site where they're looking without a big back and forth. It's easy for them and easy for me to deal with comments at the end. Absolutely perfect!

Simple Commenter has made client collaboration much smoother in my PR work. Instead of endless back-and-forth emails over small details like word choices or punctuation, clients can comment directly on the website. This saves time, streamlines revisions, and reduces friction in projects ranging from startup websites to public awareness campaigns. Feedback has been consistently positive, and the tool has become one of the easiest ways to simplify the review process.

Thanks, Henry! Really cool to see it working so well for PR projects. I love discovering new use cases like this - it makes all the development effort worthwhile!
It solved the simple problem we had with client input in such a simple way. We needed a way for clients to leave feedback right where it matters without the usual back-and-forth emails or confusing tools. Nothing gets lost in translation.
It doesn’t try to be everything. It does one thing, and it does it well: letting clients point, click, and comment directly on the work. Great for agencies and developers … it really simplifies things.

Name says it all - it really is super-simple to install and use.... so much so that I thought I must have overlooked something!
Tried several tools in the past - some of which no longer exist - which I now realise over-complicated things.
So much easier to see client feedback directlty on the page when building or updaing a website for them, and saves trying to make sense of their notes in a word doc or screengrabs.

I purchased Simple Commenter in its early stages, and I’m truly impressed with how far it has come. It makes gathering customer feedback effortless and eliminates the need for long back-and-forth emails. Customers can easily highlight the areas that need fixing, and I can address them right away. No delays, no missed emails—just smooth communication. I highly recommend this tool.
