What do you think? …

The creator has pretty blatantly ripped off Beamer. If your going to play the game like this and just rip people off, at least come out and be up front with it. 'Hey, I saw beamer and thought I could do it better. I have copied it nearly exactly but have just localized out of the gate to the UK market' etc. https://www.getbeamer.com/
Mau
@jcwinter Hello Justin, thanks for your thought, even if I find it a little bit overstated. I have no difficulty to admit I copied from getbeamer the modal with the message and the paring widget/standalone page in the landing page, all the rest: completely different!

Dear Hunters! very long time I didn't launched something new, so I'm very happy to share this new product of mine with you all! --> The problem: As a user of different saas products myself I cannot helped to notice that all the "user engagement" tools and infos (product updates, product roadmap, bugs tracking system, webchat box, demo/appointment box) are often scattered around and almost never in-app. --> The solution: So I thought to make an in-app widget to integrates all this stuff in a single simple place: ProductHero was born! From within the widget it is basically possible to: - publish in-app product Updates and News - share product Roadmap, collect Upvotes and Comments, new feature Requests and Feedback from (registered) users - collect and track down Bugs and Errors - publish Tips&Tricks/Tutorial about the product itself - integrate existing Webchat tools (actually supported Drift, Intercome and Crisp) and Calendly It's actually available as in-app Widget or public standalone page. It comes with a Bootstrap-like UI with both light and dark themes. It supports markdown, emojis and images/video upload. Thoughts?

Very good idea. I have implemented it on my site : http://www.evcure.com So far I like it a lot, very unobtrusive design.

@pierreroberge thank youuuu!! You are officialy my first user :-) looking forward for any feedback/suggestion from your side! 💟
Pierre Roberge
@drmauii It does not seem possible to decide the position of Product Hero. Upper, left/right, down, left/right. Is this feature coming?
Mau
@pierreroberge hey thank you for checking out! You mean the position of the opener button or the whole widget? Cause it takes anyway the whole height so upper/down doesn't make sense...
Pierre Roberge
@drmauii I mean the opener. Right now, it is in the lower/right part of the screen and I have another widget @weglot that is taking that location.
Mau
@weglot @pierreroberge hey yes you can specify the additional parameter posX='left' or posY='top' in the widget install script to change the opener position. For an example check it at https://www.producthero.app/app/... out. Let me know if you had any trouble about it!

Big fan! :-) Congrats on the launch.
Mau
@danielkempe thank you Daniel! Much appreciated!!
Brad Bitler
Very cool--I like the clean design.
Mau
@bitler thank you Brad! Most of it it's plain bootstrap (widget), for dashboard I used https://getstisla.com/!

On point of feedback, when I click on a notification or other type of listed element, it opens at the top. I was expecting them to expand in place, which would have probably been a more enjoyable experience instead of having to look from where I was reading to the top. Especially if I clicked something towards the bottom and then have to go all the way to the top of the screen to interact with it.
Mau
@grahampark Hello Graham, thank for the useful feedback! Actually at the very beginning I made it as you said (in place expanding) but later I decided to switch to modal since it allows me to manage the comments section without make it to crowded...Still I got your point and I will try out a different solution...
Primer
I like it. I think the free plan could let you upload at least a few images. I agree no video and the other stuff, but a small, limited number of images would make me switch to this. Otherwise I'm sticking with AnnounceKit
Mau
@mickc79 Thank you for the feedback Mick. I actually find the idea to allow a limited number of images in the free plan not bad at all! I will for sure give it a chance!
