Raycast and ChatGPT for Mac are about to get some competition... Perplexity for Mac Features: · Pro Search: Guided AI search for deeper exploration. · Ask with voice or text: Instant, up-to-date answers whether you type or say it. · Thread Follow-Up: Keep the conversation going for a deeper understanding. · Trust Built In: Cited sources for every answer. · Your Library: More than search history, it's an archive of your discoveries. · And many more, exclusively for Mac. Get $10 off when you upgrade to Pro.

@chrismessina "Cited sources" is really cool!, but not just for "trust" but for "AI SEO" as well. When my blog shows up as a source on phind.com when I search for things. I'm like 🥰

@chrismessina tell us more about this $10 discount offer, when I click on your link it just goes to the standard rate sales page, even when I click thru to sign up I see no discount nor terms for this offer :-|

Looks like this isn't actually available yet? I think they delayed the launch until the 24th 😭

@juanbuis indeed! Drat... Wonder if I can reschedule this hunt (doubtful)...

Perplexity for Mac seems like a solid addition for Mac users seeking a robust search tool. The voice and text input options are really convenient, and having cited sources adds a layer of trust that’s often missing. I’m intrigued by the Library feature—keeping an archive of discoveries sounds incredibly useful. Looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it compares to the existing options!
That’s nice. It probably won’t stop me from using Raycast, but we’ll see 😅

Nice, it has voice input. Already a huge fan of Perplexity, it's such a useful search tool that does all the legwork of web searching and summarizing findings.

Great! I hoped this would release sooner and would be a freemium model. But looks like it is paid only and available for pre-order. :(
