@michael_thomas2713 That's a very unique product idea, Michael. Could you tell me what factors or data sources does it consider when screening investments based on a user's idea? :)

Nika

I got really impressive overview.
In the section All holdings & allocations I would welcome the option to click on the item and to see more data/overview. :)

Anyway, like this solution :)

@busmark_w_nika Hi Nika, thanks for the kind words- we are always open to feedback and will continue to iterate on smart ideas like this. Thanks!
Abdul Rehman

Congrats, team on launching GA,
BTW, how does Generated Assets determine which stocks to include in a custom index? Is it based on keywords, trends, or other financial metrics?

Michael Thomas
@abod_rehman hey Abdul! Our foundational model screens through multiple first-party data bases and cross-references them against your initial prompt. So market trends and financial metrics both play a factor- the ai determines how to weight them initially and then you can help iterate the asset allocation by getting more specific when chatting with it.
Jake Trefethen

@abod_rehman TO add some more color, we're using the full power of the available internet in combinations with all of our first party data sources. This allows the AI to 1) find significantly more relevant companies than comparable systems and 2) combine soft data with hard metrics, creating a really intuitive blend of what LLMs are great at (retrieval, common sense) and what stock screeners are good at (realtime financial data).

Jannick Malling

@abod_rehman its an AI model so it depends on what the prompt is. it reviews all the information that we offer customers via our Alpha app (betterwatchlist.com) and in our Public.com premium offering, as well as all publicly available information.

love it!!, gonna try it now

Jake Trefethen

@jaber23 Thanks!! let us know what you come up with!

Michael Vavilov

Honestly, I decided to use this product for lead generation, and it compiled a great list. The next step is to go to ZoomInfo and search for contacts. Awesome! Best of luck with your launch!

Jannick Malling

@michael_vavilov ha interesting use-case. nice hustle.

Desmond

This could democratize thematic investing! But how does the AI avoid survivorship bias? If I type ‘AI stocks’, does it prioritize recent winners or include overlooked companies?

Michael Thomas
@desmond_ren1 Great question Desmond. The AI screens hundreds of datapoints from priority information to news articles and market sources to determine the most accurate stock based on your prompt. Naturally, some will be overlooked. That’s why we allow you to continue chatting with the AI to edit, tweak and add more stocks. Thanks!
Jake Trefethen

@desmond_ren1 Hey - great question! when backtesting survivorship bias is always going to be an issue. The data availability for current information is challenging enough, soft historic data like web archives etc is even more difficult to source in quality. This is why we emphasize go-forward performance for published assets, rather than backtest scores. You can actually track your asset's performance from the moment you publish it, we're pretty stoked on it.

This is such a cool way to bring AI into investing. Curious how it screens for relevance — is it based on fundamentals, sentiment, or something else?

Jannick Malling

@rydensun the model takes all of it into account and comes up with the relevance score (which the weightings are roughly based on as well)
