Asmi calls you every morning. You talk - it handles the day. It calls services (dentist, salon, plumber, bank, insurance) or people (friends, colleagues) to coordinate, book or resolve things. Updates you on iMessage or WhatsApp when done. It can navigate IVRS, wait on hold and handle complex conversations well.
It started with a phone call from a close friend from my PhD days.
After a little chit-chat and a lot of catch-up, he asked me if I wanted to build something that actually helps people. Not in a vague, hand-wavy way but genuinely does the things you don't want to do yourself, and helps you do the things you actually care about, better.
The outbound call thesis is interesting - handling the messy phone-mediated workflows is genuinely the hard part of agent execution. One compliance layer worth building in now: Article 50(1) of the EU AI Act requires voice AI agents interacting with people in the EU to identify themselves as AI at the start of the call. For an agent calling a dentist's receptionist on behalf of a user, the opening line needs to be something like: "Hi, I'm an AI assistant calling on behalf of [user name] to [purpose]." That's also good caller experience - businesses responding to calls appreciate knowing what they're talking to. This obligation sits with whoever deploys the agent (Asmi), not just the underlying model provider. The August 2 deadline is 48 days out. If EU expansion is on the roadmap, building the disclosure into the call-start template now is much easier than retrofitting it later.
The clinic's website is broken. The second number rings forever. The third transferred me to a voicemail from 2019. I've been at this for 45 minutes. The appointment itself takes 20.

Fantastic idea. I was just thinking that something like this would be damn helpful. However, can you work on the sync? For some reason, it is not able to sync my contacts very well.
@mehulmishra6 Thanks Mehul. We have not yet enabled the contact sync feature as we are privacy first and we do not ask for any permission or access to your personal data to get Asmi to work for you. User has options to share the contact details over chat (iMessage or WhatsApp), and Asmi saves it for all future references after that.

@rishi_raj Thanks for getting back I tried that. I uploaded a CSV several times. It was not able to register it. Syncing with Google contacts didn't work either.

what about privacy controls… Can users decide how long conversations are stored?
@amna9 Hi Amna - yes, we do give users option to delete the data if they wish to. We generally store it anywhere between 30 days to 90 days as of today. And it is used for getting to know users better and making Asmi more autonomous and hassle free for them over time.

About time AI becomes personal. Genuinely impressed by the realistic voice and the ahems she does before clarifying stuff. I used ASMI to handle quite a few calls in my day to day. All the best team
@sreecharan_d Thanks a lot, Sreecharan! Can't thank you enough to be our early user and help us improve the product. We'll keep making Asmi better every day.
@sreecharan_d Glad the "ahems" are working in the real world for you. We kept them intentionally - we found that natural disfluencies dramatically improve how humans on the other end respond.
@istiakahmad Thanks Istiak, you’ll be happy to hear that calendar integration actually already exists as a silent feature! You can connect it right now to add more context to your tasks.
We deliberately designed Asmi to work powerfully out of the box without needing any integrations at all, but adding your calendar will only make the experience more personalized and powerful moving forward!
The beauty of Asmi is that it sits right inside iMessage or WhatsApp where you already spend your time, so there’s no new app or context-switching needed.
You can text Asmi between chats, or just call hands-free while driving, on a run, or grabbing groceries. It's always right there when you need it!

Would be amazing if Asmi could coordinate between multiple vendors and compare quotes automatically
@hamza_afzal_butt Hey Hamza - yes, Asmi does that today. It can call multiple vendors in parallel and get you a good price. Would love for you to try it out!

Is there a B2B version with an API? Which languages are supported? I’d be interested in integrating something like this into my startup.
We’ve actually had a couple of inbounds about this already and plan to start working on a B2B version and API over the next few weeks. For languages, Asmi natively supports a wide global range including English, Spanish, Hindi, and Mandarin, among many others.
If you'd like to integrate this into your startup, drop your email ID and we’ll loop you into our B2B pipeline as soon as it's ready!

Would love to see calendar integration so Asmi can automatically suggest available slots.
