    Great for product teams

    Cons: 

    Not suitable for marketers

    As a marketer, without a JavaScript event API to pass chat events to various front-end integrations such as Segment and Google Analytics, it's relatively useless as it's impossible to see how Intercom influences website conversions.

    Pros: 

    Yes - the "home screen" concept with apps brings something entirely new to the chat / bot space. Excellent.

    Cons: 

    None that I can think of.

    In the process of setting this up now with a client and very excited by the possibility. It also means re-thinking some recent competitive tool implementations at other clients. It is *that* good.

    We use Intercom since 3 years now, and we're delighted with their solution. Unfortunately, It's very expensive as they base their price on the number of user on your app...

    Great features and seems very intuitive (I haven't started the free trial)

    Cons: 

    The starting price is unacceptable for startups in Eastern Europe where somebody will most probably build a cheaper alternative soon.

    Price strategy - American companies have to consider the economic situation in other countries when creating their price lists. I guess the product is unacceptable for many parts of the world. Why not try to get the market before a cheaper alternative is presented there?

    Great new apps to connect

    Cons: 

    The core feature, chat, is moved one level down

    Some great new ideas with the new messenger, but the #1 core function, chat, is no longer available immediately. Users now have to look for and choose between options before they can ask a question.

    Chat needs to remain available on the top level. Not "Start a Conversation"

    Our conversations have dried up in one day...

    It is an amazing tool. It is literally a new way to interact with your customers and prospects without leaving Intercom.

    Don't see any right now.
