Resume.io is made by UI maniacs, they polish each detail and mindfully track user activity to create really perfect interface. It's pity that I create resumes so rare, hope they will create more products in future!

Pros:

Simplest way to create a CV with really neat UI.

Hello team !

Looks like you've bring something cool and new to HR.

The tool is really simple to use, the onboarding is great. UI is also great.

Once signed-up, I was really pleased to see that it wasn't only resume templates. Additional features like cover letters, sharing, application trackers are adding big value to the product.

I might desert my beloved InDesign, because it will be easier for me to maintain and update my resume I guess.

Even if I'm not looking for a job, I'd definitely comeback often to check how it is evolving and maybe use it for close friends or parents when it's needed.

Pros:

Complete, clean UI, onboarding, sharing

Cons:

Only few templates atm

Hi @manciniluciani and thanks for your feedback! We do plan a lot of cool staff in nearest future, so stay tuned for more. 🙌 By the way, if you feel like standard templates don’t suit you well you can customize them by changing accent color or hiding/showing profile image. 😎

This resume builder has many cool features, looks good and is super easy to use!

Pros:

Templates are really good looking! Cool that it is possible to share my resume via a link: that’s what I usually miss when emailing HRs.

Cons:

I don’t actually understand the subscription-based pricing for resumes . I wish I could drag and drop sections directly in the resume.

Hi Andrey! Thank you for the feedback! Glad you liked the sharing feature. We've put a lot of effort in it and now collecting opinions on how to make it even better. The pricing might be not perfect yet, but for now, it seems to be the best way to keep our project in active development. Important note, you can still use sharing without paying anything! 😉

I gave no consent to save my credit card and automatically charge off. There were no warning letters on my email box concerning subscription extending from this service, nothing. I have used it only once to test, and it was ok with me to pay 2,95 $ for the trial period, but stealth payment 24,95 $ each month for an idle activity - it is a little bit overwhelming. I had found it accidentally when was checking my bank account. There were no letters from this service about charging my money. BE AWARE!

Pros:

nothing

Cons:

Attention! It`s a fraudulent service! Subscribing you automatically to paid services after a trial period ending.

I paid for my 7 days trial over a year ago. I used it to create a resume, that I paid for and then did not intend to use it again. Yesterday, after over a year I found out they have been charging me every month ever since and I lost abour 275 EUR for an account I didn't know I had and never used again. I checked my e-mails to find some kind of receipts or confirmations that would inform me about the fees that were withdrawn from my account, but didn't find any. Also, I would expect them to ask me whether I wanted to continue with my premium account after the new years, but no such e-mail came - obviously, because they don't want to remind you of them because once they do, you will find out the ugly truth that you were paying some nonsense premium account and once you do, it will be too late and the support will send you one automatic response to all of your e-mails asking for a refund. I DO NOT RECOMMEND AND IT IS THE WORST SERVICE EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE!!!!!

Pros:

NOTHING

Cons:

DISHONEST SERVICE THAT WITHDRAWS MONEY FROM YOUR ACCOUNT WITHOUT INFORMING YOU IN ANY WAY

I only used the free version, therefore that might be why the scope is so limited, but I would like to see more control in selecting different icons, color schemes and fonts. Overall, very good looking and easy to use!

Pros:

Cons:

As user, nothing to say. Thanks to job seeker and the application tracker features the job seeker has all he needs in one place.

Pros:

Charge for templates and integrations. You may generate less revenue per user, but you'll increase the number of user that pay for content.

Pros:

Super easy to create visually stunning resumes

Cons:

I don't understand why resume builders have business models that rely on subscriptions. How often do you create a resume anyway?

This is an awful service that doesn't notify you that you have to pay after you put all your information.

Pros:

Easy to use

Cons:

Doesn't make it clear you have to pay to download

Share

I used the product to create my CV, and because I want to download a PDF I paid the $2.95 for 7 day trial and be able to download. The price next to it is $44.95 for 6 months, that make sense ($7.5 per month). That was my only use of the product (that again it's very good to make your CV).

And here comes the scam and still not sure if this is the business logic behind them. 11 Days later I check my credit card and they billed $2.95 (what I expected) and another $24.95. So I was really surprise and though that was an honest mistake, but it was not the case. That price is hidden in the price description and all the information is presented in a way to prevent you to notice it. But despite this I cancel my account inmediatelly (I only used once) and ask for the corresponding refund. And like that they cancel my account and never reply nor refund anything.

So, the idea of them is to charge you $2,95 per 7 days, and then charge you a full month price that it's not visible anywhere, never refund anything. And don't expect them to answer to your emails, even less to discount what you already pay from the monthly price. Almost the perfect scam.

I'm really frustrated with their attitude. Just leaving this in here in order to aware others.

Pros:

Very nice interface. Very intuitive on every aspect and help you have a quality result in a very short time.

Cons:

The price scam. The poor support. The non-response helpcenter.

I took the 7 day trial, which you pay for, because thats all I needed. Next thing I am getting bill 20 pounds and they say after 7 days you automatically get upgraded. I asked for a refund as I hadn't used the service in the month period and now am getting no response. I think the refund request is fair and understandable and for a company trying to build a good reputation - scamming their customers into subscriptions isn't quite trustyworthy.

Pros:

Easy to use good looking cv's

Cons:

7 day trial automatically turns into a month rolling contract

Share
I agree, I emailed them 4 times now, its been about a month and I havent received a single email concerning the exact thing. I got scammed for more than 120 dollars

Claudio NovaesYou don´t need to know about me

No support, do not work in the end, not so sure about this good reviews over here, I'm start to think it´s a scheme, I will wait more 10 hours because they inform they can take 24hs to REPLY a message, not to give a solution so if you are willing to pay for a 'todays" need, never mind, it´s not safe, if you have time, maybe. I will let you know if I receive some reply or solution until tomorrow morning.

Pros:

Seems excelent at the begin until you pay

Cons:

After I pay none was downloaded, I sent two requests of support during the day and no reply or solution but the money was taken quickly.

Share

BEWARE!!!! SCAM!!!!! this company is a fraud. first the system doesn't work so they tell me they will refund the '7 day free trail' and cancel the subscription. A few days later £28 has been taken and the system will not allow me to cancel or delete my subscription. i haven't had the refund promised and now they are ignoring my messages

Pros:

nothing

Cons:

fraud

I can't recommend a service that isn't reliable. I lost my cover letter last night, messsaged support and still haven't heard anything. My resume was still there. Now that I logged back in, now my resumé is gone too.

Pros:

Interface was great and it was super easy and enjoyable to use.

Cons:

I've now lost both my cover letter and resumé somehow. They're both just blank.

Share

Charge you a monthly fee of 25$ without even asking or send you a notification, neither in advance or after charging you. I only notice that they charged me after checking bank account balance. I know some people got charged 2 months or more !!!! And to actually use this service, you have to pay 70$ first. After that, the hidden 25% monthly comes in. Also, the CV contains a lot of bugs as well as you can't 100% design it the way you want.

Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Scammer

Share

Pricing nad onboarding IS DESIGNED to drive you into perpetual very unfair deal. I've noticed it on my CC billing after 6 moths and they charged me >100$. Fallen product.

Pros:

Cons:

That's obviously a scam

Share

As mentioned by other people here, resume.io automatically upgrade your 7 day trial into a monthly SUBSCRIPTION fee of $24.95 without asking your permission. Unless YOU find out about this and quickly cancel that subscription within 7 days, you ll be charged without even knowing!

Pros:

The UI is user friendly. Nothing bad to say about their website.

Cons:

The way billing setup. BEWARE!!!

I bought the service. first month was alright. After second month was automatically paid I was logged out from my acc. and tried to get their customer service to help me, but it was to no avail. Conclusion: paid for a service, that had no online support and could not retrieve my data or my money back!

Pros:

One can build their CV and cover letter by using different templates

Cons:

The service is very expensive, has numerous glitches, and their customer support is very poor.

Probably the easiest resume builder and more importantly, the templates are user-friendly, meaning the person reviewing the resume can glance at them and extract the most pertinent information quickly.

Finding a job is no longer about your resume but more about a portfolio of work you have done and feedback/recommendations you have received. A resume will no longer help recruiters find Talent. Finding Talent is now about a variety of things you can do, and you cannot show that in a resume anymore.

Pros:

Interesting concept for people whom are looking for job the traditional way

Cons:

Does not change the way HR works Does not introduce a new idea

Share

I was billed for a subscription I did not subscribe to, contacted support immediately and they’ve refused to reply me or make refunds

Pros:

Cons:

Hope they go bankrupt

Pros:

Cons:

They stole 24.5 times 8 months worth of money. This is a fraudulent service that takes away their customers trust and money, honestly. They stole 24.5 times 8 months worth of money. Do not subscribe or pay, it is better to use a different website. I was not aware of the subscription it automatically puts you on, and another thing was the fact that their service is ass, do literally will not help you if you find yourself in the same predicament as me.

Pros:

Easy to use template

Cons:

Use a different website for resumes. Stole money Fraudulent service

Share

https://www.klachtenkompas.nl/be...

Pros:

Nothing. I got a resume. Nothing special

Cons:

Be honest, don't scam your clients by extracting money of their accounts for months. And not returning it.

Share

If you want to use it make sure not to agree to have it upgraded after a seven day trial. After a seven day trial it upgrades membership without approval from its user and charges each month $24.. I went two months without using their services and they charged me the upgraded membership price of $49 (for two months). I tried contacting customer support on 3 occasions over a period of one month and have had my e-mails ignored all 3 times (through their customer support on their site). I then continued contacting them on Facebook with questions about how to use their page just to see if they'd respond. Once they did I went on to explain what happend and that I wanted my money back. Being unable to ignore my messages at this point they promised it would be refunded and it was, in full. I know I wasn't the only one whose messages were ignored for this specific reason of them basically stealing your money without you agreeing. MAKE SURE TO CANCELL THE 7 DAY TRIAL, it's not worth $24 in any way, shape or form.

Pros:

Easy to use and creates professional looking CVs which you can download anytime from anywhere.

Cons:

Steals money

Terrible customer service. I made mistake renew subscription and follow company's policy to ask refund as they promised on the website. However, they ignore what they publish on the official website and refuse to refund. That's totally cheating to customers. Plus, cannot save the file on website, so you have to type everything once again if you close the page. It's not convenience and totally not recommend.
