I recently signed up for resume.io hoping it would help me create a better resume, but I regret it completely. Be careful: if you opt for a subscription, it will automatically renew after it expires. When I asked for a refund, they declined outright, claiming they’d already informed me in the original subscription confirmation. Honestly, that’s a shady business practice in my opinion. Customer service was no help at all—I had to follow up multiple times before anyone even bothered to respond. When I finally got an answer, it was dismissive and unhelpful. The so-called “AI” tool they have to improve your text is absolutely useless. It just summarizes your job descriptions in a simplistic, generic way that adds no real value. The only positive thing I can say is that they have a couple of decent-looking templates, but otherwise, resume.io is not worth your money or time. I would not recommend them to anyone.
