While the idea is great (largely copied from Google's NotebookLM) the site IKI.AI is so buggy that it is essentially unusable. It's quite surprising that it's been released at this stage.

Hi Ivan, with regard to your comments below,I still don't quite understand the difference between NotebookLM and Iki.AI. What Notebook calls "Notebooks", IKI.AI calls "Collections." Features like summarization, identifying concepts, and extracting information from sources seem to be the same on both platforms (because the underlying LLM is presumably the same/ similar). Iki.AI appears to have a more straightforward web clipping and sharing function compared to NotebookLM, but other than that, I can't see how the main features differ. Platforms such as MyMind, MyMemo, and Saner.AI offer the very same features too. Could you elaborate on what the selling point is for IKI.AI?
Moreover, as mentioned in my comment above, Iki.AI was very buggy when I tried to use it:
Bulk upload did not work. Of 10 sources, only 2 were uploaded.
When viewed in "Collections", not the Library, the title assigned to these two sources was a string of numbers and letters, not the actual titles of the uploaded document, while the titles were shown correctly in "Libraries."
Most importantly, interrogating uploaded documents with prompts does not work, and the process freezes at "We are processing this document." Pre-defined prompts such as "Write a tweet" do interrogate the document, however.
Overall, since bulk uploading and interrogating documents does not work, all other functions the platform currently offers, such as summarization and note creation, become meaningless. I really like the aesthetics and feel of Iki.AI, but at the moment, platforms like Saner.AI or even MyMind.AI and MyMemo.AI offer better services to users, in my view. I hope this helps.

Thanks for your most recent reply, Ivan. All Generative AI-powered models currently available offer similar features: information identification, summarization, and repackaging. Therefore, most tools are quite similar in terms of their offerings. If the underlying GAI features are essentially the same across platforms, the only way to distinguish one's product from competitors is by having a user-friendly interface and top-notch customer service.
When I pointed out the numerous flaws on the IKI platform (some of which persist) in my initial review, you sent me a friend request on Iki's Discord Channel. You then berated me for leaving a one-star review and subsequently blocked me from the channel. While IKI may eventually offer similar services to those currently provided by Saner.AI, NotebookLM, MyMind, and Recall, your hostile reaction to constructive criticism is what truly sets IKI apart from other platforms I have interacted with. You will have to do more than fix bugs to attract paying customers.

In 1.0, we started with the basics: a collections system, a Chrome extension, and a GPT-powered assistant with no customization. Even with this minimal setup, we gained early adopters who believed in the product and patiently waited for the promised features.
We also had a shared IKI community with a social library, allowing users to follow others and explore collective knowledge. Since then, we’ve shifted towards more private and team-oriented workflows, significantly upgraded our LLM capabilities, and completely redesigned the knowledge management interface.
P.S. Maybe one day we’ll add # for topics and @ for sources — after all, history shows those symbols can change the game! 😉🚀

@max_orlov_ony I certainly see the value of adding support for #tags — given they work anywhere you can type! And increasingly @ mentions are being used to invoke bots, AI Assistants, and doc sources (as you said), so that also makes sense.

Reminds me of what Notion tried to do with second brain. Basically use your whole Notion resources and their LLMs to get info from it. Like a RAG on your personal digital files.
