Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I'm Pete from Databox. Excited to finally share Routines with you.

This is the next capability launch in our agentic analytics platform. The first one, our AI Analyst Genie, made analysis instant. Ask a question about your live data, and you get a finished answer in minutes. The second, Artifacts, turned those answers into polished, shareable reports. But both still begin the same way, with a person opening a chat and asking.

So we built Routines.

Routines let you put recurring analysis on a schedule. Give our AI Analyst a prompt and a cadence, and it runs the analysis and delivers the finished report on its own, every time it's due:

Your recurring analysis runs itself: every run happens on schedule, without anyone remembering to start it. (It can also be triggered by a webhook from another system.)
You can act from the notification alone: each run arrives by email, Slack, or in-app with a summary that tells you how things stand.
Every answer stays available: runs are saved in the routine, so you can revisit any report or continue the conversation with a follow-up question
Your own analysis becomes repeatable: save the way you analyze something as a Skill once, then put it on a schedule

All of that is what makes Routines a critical part of our agentic analytics platform.

Without agentic analytics, analysis must be done by a person. Routines delivers it to people instead.

In the old way, someone pulls the numbers, figures out what moved and why, writes it up, and sends it around. The team talks about it a few days later. The next round happens when that skilled person has time for it again, usually a week or a month out. So analysis happens as often as one person's calendar allows, only the people on that email ever see it, and anything that goes wrong in between doesn't get caught.

With analysis done on a schedule using Routines, a Tuesday problem gets flagged on Tuesday and the plan changes that week instead of next month.

And anyone can be on the delivery list, including people one function over, so the teams that support each other work from the same explanation at the same time. For example, with the right Routine setup, marketing can see that sales is converting leads at a lower rate than last month and can dig into lead quality or push volume up before anyone raises it in a meeting.

We've been testing it internally for weeks. Our team members are more informed, and we spend meetings deciding what to do instead of reviewing what happened.

Any app that can fire a signal (Zapier, Make, your own event) can kick off a run and drop the result straight into Slack or email. Curious what you're planning to wire it into, always good to hear real setups.

This is probably the launch I’m most proud of recently -> our first agentic notification layer that actually feels useful.

I was getting bored of, and mostly ignoring, repetitive emails like “XY has been delivered, click here to see more.”

With Routines, the agentic analysis happens in the background, and the notification gives you just enough context to understand what’s happening and get a sense of how your day or week is going.

@zigapotocnik The set it and forget it part is cool, everyone has a dashboard, but someone still has to remember to check and figure out what changed... How do you decide which insight are actually worth ?

@harini_mukesh Good question. Right now every run still reports back, we don't have anomaly-only notifications yet. But the answer itself does the filtering: instead of a raw number dump, Genie writes it as "here's what changed and whether it matters," so a quiet day just tells you "nothing to worry about" and you don't have to open a dashboard to check. Muting a routine unless something's off is exactly the kind of thing we're looking at next, thanks for flagging it.

Big congrats to the team 💪

The biggest pain killer for me was that every run pulls fresh from your live connected data and not a cached copy of the last answer. That way i can truly trust the "Nothing changed today" result and not just assume that it is a static placeholder.

Routines wont miss an opportunity to analyze my data and figure out if any great opportunities are up for the taking, even if it's a sunny Sunday afternoon, and I didn't have (or take the) time to run the analysis manually ;)

Just to be honest: I was never interested in doing analysis at all, on any day. I just wanted to know when an action item can be executed.

I've analyzed all 2026 PH launches to find the best day to launch.

Wanted to share some data before our own launch, since this took a while to pull together and might save someone else a bad launch day pick.

We pulled every featured product across all 7 days of the week and looked at the median points needed to break the top 5 and top 10 on each day.

Checking on the business is a ritual - daily, weekly, monthly - and today it's entirely manual. You open the same tools, scan the same numbers, and rebuild the same report, over and over. Whatever falls outside that routine goes unnoticed, and by the time something unusual gets investigated, it's often too late to matter.

Quick question for this community before we launch: how do you currently keep tabs on your numbers day to day?

Most people we talked to do one of two things. Either they open the same dashboard every morning out of habit, even when nothing's changed. Or they don't check often enough, and by the time they notice something's off, it's already cost them a few days.
