Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built YTContext, a Chrome extension that lets you copy text from YouTube videos with just one click — whether it’s code, subtitles, or configs. 💡 Why I Built This Honestly, I was just tired of pausing YouTube tutorials to manually type code or commands. I tried existing tools, but most relied on OCR, which often misread text or just didn’t work well. I’ll admit it — I originally jumped on the AI hype train with no clear idea, but this one stuck. I saw some tools doing similar things, but I wanted to try a cleaner, more accurate approach using AI . This is also my first real attempt at a SaaS, so it’s a learning journey. I didn’t validate it deeply, but once I saw others trying to solve the same problem, I figured it’s worth building and shipping. 🔍 What Makes It Different Unlike OCR tools that scan visuals for text, YTContext actually analyzes YouTube’s structured data (like transcripts and captions), and uses AI to extract and neatly present the most relevant content in a popup. No messy UI, no pixel scanning — just one-click, clean copy. ⚙️ Features Extract subtitles, on-screen code, configs, excel table data etc Works across most YouTube videos (with or without closed captions) One-click copy to clipboard Minimalist popup interface

@sanidhya4 Such a beautiful tool. How are users charged?

Sanidhya

@sophiaatdola Hi thanks for taking the interest and the compliment.
Upon login you can use the tool for free as you are given a few credits to try it out. Post which you can subscribe to this tool and choose between monthly 100 credits(5$/month) plan or 1000 credits (20$/month) plan.
Would love to hear the community feedback on the pricing plans! I am open to make changes based on the perceived demand and use case.

Brilliant for marketers and researchers! Can it analyze entire videos automatically, or do users manually select frames? Batch processing would be a lifesaver!

Sanidhya

@desmond_ren1 Thanks for the input. It does not support processing entire videos automatically now... but would definitely consider this for future versions.
