getting alerts for newly added YC startups could actually help with way more than job hunting. I can see founders, investors, and even freelancers using this to discover companies earlier than everyone else

@frances_diazon Really like the focus here 🔥 Instead of building another huge startup database, this solves a very specific problem that a lot of people probably deal with every single week

@frances_diazon  @rebecca_richard1 the diff defectionn approach is actually pretty clever. Small updates like a company suddenly opening hiring can easily go unnoticed, but those are usually the updates people care about most.

Iris Carr

This feels useful not only for candidates, but also for founders tracking trends across the YC ecosystem👀

Konstantin Borimechkov

@iris_carr exactly what I wanna focus on and why I wanna open source the project to find someone like you has ideas they wanna apply and help founders with the dataset as well!

Alicia Klein

The hiring alerts caught my attention right away 👌 I always end up finding roles way too late.

Konstantin Borimechkov

@alicia_klein glad you find it helpful!

Matthew Flores

That’s actually pretty useful for people tracking startup trends or looking for early job opportunities. The snapshot-diff approach is smart too simple idea but it creates a real early signal layer on top of YC data instead of just being another directory.

Konstantin Borimechkov

@matthew_flores1 yea, goal was to provide value with something as simple as comparing datasets!

Richard Smith

The snapshot-diff approach is clever - it's those tiny changes like a company suddenly hiring that most people miss but actually care about most.
