Why do 90% of AI Humanizers fail the latest GPTZero & CopyLeaks updates?

by

Hey Product Hunt community!

I’m the founder of WrittenByMe, and over the last few weeks, I’ve been reverse-engineering what happens behind the scenes of the modern AI detection arms race.

If you look at the major platforms dominating the space right now, most of them rely on the exact same trick: basic synonym spinning. They swap out words, but they completely leave the underlying, rigid mathematical "Point A-to-B" sentence structure intact. The second platforms like GPTZero or CopyLeaks drop an update, those legacy tools shatter. Worse, they completely strip out or hallucinate your in-text academic citations and data metrics.

We engineered WrittenByMe to fix this. Instead of superficial word-swapping, we've spent our time optimizing a localized, multi-layered deep humanization pipeline. It rebuilds the structural entropy of text from scratch while keeping names, dates, and citations completely anchored and untouched.

We are officially launching in a few days! I'd love to open up a discussion here:

  • For the content creators, students, and researchers here, what is the biggest frustration you face with current humanization tools?

  • How important is real-time, sentence-level AI detection to your editing workflow?

Check out our pre-launch page, drop your thoughts below, and let’s talk about what it actually takes to restore true human authorship to AI content.
