π Hey there, Product Hunt community! π
I'm Yahia Bakour, a long time indie hacker, and I am thrilled to re-introduce the new and improved WriteMore.io to you today!
βοΈ Presenting Writemore.io - Your Ultimate Writing Companion βοΈ
As a casual writer & journal-er, I know how challenging it can be to maintain consistency and stay motivated to write every day. That's why I created Writemore.io - to help folks like me and you develop a daily writing habit and keep track of your progress, all while having fun.
βWhat sparked this idea?
I've been casually writing (or attempting to) for a long time and have always struggled to stay disciplined and motivated. I noticed that many people in writing communities faced similar issues. So, I decided to create a tool that could make writing more enjoyable and help writers stay on track.
π With Writemore.io, you can:
β’ Build and maintain a daily writing streak π₯
β’ Earn badges and rewards for your writing achievements π
β’ Join online writing groups to share ideas and motivation π
β’ Track your progress with insightful analytics π
β’ Access personalized writing prompts and challenges to keep things fresh π‘
β’ and so much more!
We're here to support you on your writing journey and help you become the best writer you can be.
The idea is good.
Since I spend so much time on the desktop, I would also appreciate the option to somehow "track" my analogue journaling. :)
Anyway, wish you good luck with this tool! :)
Congrats on the launch, @yahia_bakour@jackson_llk!
Do you provide any insights on writing habits or trends over time, like peak writing times or word count growth?
@yahia_bakour@ashitvora We provide analytics to track writing time and word count over time broken down into days. Peak writing times is an interesting one! Will look to possibly implementing this.

Nice tool, Jackson! And congrats on your first PH launch too π
We didn't get featured, but I hope you'll end up in the first place today (before OpenAI, hehe). Let's go π
@mattiarighetti Thanks! I'm hoping Sam is on holiday somewhere without internet haha.

Far too many people aren't taking the time to empty their minds onto a page - Helps to make people develop their ideas & probably one of the most important daily rituals to get into a habit of - Would recommend to anybody who is looking to develop ideas better & free their mind of any clutter :)
@cranqnow Man, I can't tell you how much of a relief once you just mind dump everything onto a page. Do that regularly and you will feel so much less burdened mentally.

@jackson_llk You got it - Makes all the difference for me :)

Congrats on the launch @yahia_bakour and @jackson_llk. In an era of passive content consumption in the form of scrolling and swiping, your product is a breath of fresh air. Writing among the other language skills - Listening, Reading and Speaking is the most difficult as it requires active engagement of faculties.
Other than the writing prompts and analytics, ho does it compete against a Grammarly v/s Auto correct on MS Word or Google Docs?
@yahia_bakour@varun_bhagath Thank you for the kind words Varun! We believe in starting with simplicity and minimal distraction for writers and will add on quality of life features based on user feedback. Nothing is off the table!
Hi Yahia! WriteMore 2.0 sounds like an amazing tool for building a writing habit. I love the idea of earning badges and rewards for writing achievements. How do the personalized writing prompts work?
@web3_antivirus Thanks Alex! For now we provide two categories of writing prompts (creative writing and reflective journaling), and we will add to this and personalization features in the near future. Stay tuned!
