What's the biggest difference between an answer that sounds good and an answer that gets hired?

I've been thinking about this while building WorkZo AI.

Many candidates can answer interview questions reasonably well.

But some answers create confidence.

Others create doubt.

Sometimes the difference isn't technical knowledge at all.

It's clarity.
Specificity.
Ownership.
Evidence.

What do you think makes an interviewer trust a candidate's answer?
