Kozmo - Precursor to on-demand world

Every time I see a new "concierge"-type app, I think of Kozmo, and how they were only ever profitable in, like, 3 cities before they disappeared.

Kozmo.com was a venture-capital-funded online company that promised free one-hour delivery of "videos, games, dvds, music, mags, books, food, basics & more"

Loved this in New York but the local deli could do the same thing.
