Weftly - Edit your video by editing its transcript. $1 per edit

Hi Product Hunt 👋 We built Weftly at The Woven Record, a small newsroom, because we needed a way to turn long interviews and talks into something publishable without paying for another subscription. We use it on our own videos every week, and we're excited to share it with you! Since our last launch we've shipped the feature we promised in June: Edit from transcript. Cutting a talk usually means scrubbing a timeline to find where someone rambled. You already know which sentences you want. You can see them in the transcript. So now you edit the transcript and Weftly cuts the video to match. How it works: 1. Drop a video into chat.weftly.ai and ask Weftly to transcribe it. 2. Delete words or sentences, or move sentences around. 3. Click "Cut this video." You get the edited video back, plus an SRT and a word-level transcript re-timed to the new cut. A few choices we made on purpose: - You can't type new words. Weftly cuts real footage, so it only keeps or reorders what was actually said. If an edit can't be cut, you see which lines before you pay. - $1 per edit, no subscription, no account. You pay when you use it. - It works from your AI agent too. If you use Claude or another MCP client, your agent can edit the transcript as plain text and send it back with edit_from_transcript.
