Why is planning a SaaS product still so messy?
Hi everyone ,,
While building products over the last few months, I kept running into the same frustrating problem.
Turning a SaaS idea into a clear, structured product plan takes far longer than it should.
Before writing any code, you have to figure out things like:
• product features
• workflows
• validations
• system logic
• architecture
• development phases
Most founders either:
write messy notes
use random docs
try to structure everything manually
The result is usually unclear product planning and slow development.
So I started building something to solve this problem.
It’s called PlanMySaaS.
The idea is simple:
You describe your SaaS idea, and the system generates a structured product blueprint, including:
• feature architecture
• workflows and validations
• module structure
• technical planning
• development guidance
• AI-ready prompts to start building quickly
We’re currently preparing the beta launch and fixing final bugs and system errors.
Before launching, I’d love to hear from other founders here.
A few questions for the community:
1️⃣ What part of SaaS planning takes the most time for you?
2️⃣ Do you usually create product specs before development?
3️⃣ What would make a planning tool actually useful for you?
Your feedback would really help shape the product before launch.
Thanks
