What would make you trust an AI expense tracker?

Hi everyone — I’m building TraceCat, a private AI expense tracker that works offline.

The idea is to make expense logging feel as simple as typing something like “coffee 5” or “spent 42 on sushi yesterday”, while keeping the data on-device.

I’d love to hear from other makers and users here:

• What would make you actually trust an AI expense tracker?

• Is privacy / offline support a meaningful advantage to you?

• Or do you care more about things like speed, accuracy, categories, exports, and reminders?
