Siren - HTTP testing without the bloat

by

Throughout my career HTTP request tools have always been essential to help with API development and testing. Somewhere along the way a lot of these tools have gained bloat. They started to lock basic features behind accounts, paywalls, and opt you into telemetry you never wanted.

I wanted a tool like the ones I used to remember. No account, no sign up, no tracking; local first.

Siren was designed to be exactly this. Open source, privacy conscious, free to use, cross-platform, all while still delivering key functionality expected of an HTTP tool today.

Our features at launch include:

  • Local-first with disk persistence, no account, no cloud, no tracking

  • Import your existing requests from Postman, Bruno, OpenAPI specs, or cURL

  • Collections, environments, and variables for organized, dynamic requests

  • Native secret management via OS keychain and 1Password integration

  • Built-in mock server for simulating endpoints

  • MCP server to expose Siren's functionality to AI agents

  • Open source with extensible C# plugin system

  • Cross-platform with Material 3 light/dark themes

At Mythetech we're redefining the developer tooling experience and ecosystem. Siren is just the start. Download today and see what your tooling could be
