How my 14yo son and I accidentally built a viral B2B Data-Scouting platform in 14 days
Hey Product Hunt!
I'm Francesco, a Full-Stack Dev with 20+ years of experience, and this is the craziest, fastest-growing project I've ever launched.
It started as a weekend challenge with my 14-year-old son. He wanted to know the "real value" of his Brawl Stars account. We couldn't find a reliable, safe tool online, so we built one.
We launched BrawlValue.com as a simple API calculator. Then, we decided to gamify it.
We introduced a "Flex Score" and Hyper-Local Leaderboards (by City and School).
That’s when the "Dark Social" exploded. 🤯Kids started generating their "Share Cards" and spamming them in private WhatsApp school groups to prove they were the "GOATs" of their high school.
In just a few days, we achieved:
Mapped organically over 4,000+ high schools and 1600 cities in Italy alone.
Hit a +80% Click-to-Registration conversion rate (via Discord OAuth2).
Handled massive influencer-driven traffic spikes using a hybrid AWS (Nginx Cache-Lock) + Supabase architecture, dropping our server load to almost zero despite 100k+ concurrent requests.
What started as a B2C game has now become a B2B Data-Scouting infrastructure.
We realized that the Flex Score is the new social currency in schools, and brands are the natural 'boost' for this status. We are now allowing eSports teams and endemic brands to target Gen-Z gamers with surgical, geo-localized precision (e.g., sponsoring the #1 High School Leaderboard).
Today we are officially launching Season 1: The Discord Wars to the world.
We are entirely bootstrapped. No VC money, zero ad spend. Just raw code and psychological UX.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on our UI/UX, the "Ego-Trap" onboarding flow, or how we handled the "Thundering Herd" traffic spikes on AWS!
Drop your questions below! I'll be here all day answering everything.
