Here’s What I Learned About Picking the Wrong SAAS Software
Over the last few months, I tested dozens of SaaS tools across SEO, email marketing, AI writing, website builders, project management, and design.
What I realized:
Most people do not have a “tool problem.”
They have a comparison problem.
A lot of us buy software because:
Everyone on Twitter recommends it
Big affiliates keep pushing it
It has the biggest brand name
It promises 10 different features we may never use
Then a month later:
You are paying for features you do not need
The UI is too complicated
The learning curve is painful
Customer support is slow
There is a cheaper alternative doing 80% of the same job
A few examples:
Many people buy Ahrefs when Mangools or Ubersuggest might be enough
Some teams pay for Monday.com when ClickUp or Notion fits them better
People choose Jasper because it is famous, but end up preferring Writesonic or Rytr
The biggest lesson:
The “best” SaaS tool does not exist.
The best SaaS tool is the one that matches your budget, team size, workflow, and actual needs.
What is one SaaS tool you regret paying for, and what did you switch to instead?
