Health problems that are actually good inspiration for new health products.

I’ve noticed that many health products have a real chance of getting featured on Product Hunt.

And it makes sense. Health is the most valuable thing we have, so if a product is innovative and genuinely helpful, it should be accessible to as many people as possible.

Here are a few ideas that I think are worth mentioning, because these health issues are becoming more common with today’s lifestyle.

Ideas for health-focused products:

  • Smartphone break tools – a product that helps you exercise your eyes or look away from screens regularly (today something similar launched, e.g., @ScreenBreak )

  • Digital detox app – for mental health support

  • Movement trackers and motivating fitness apps – like an adventure app that encourages you to visit different locations to reach your daily goal (e.g., 10,000 steps), e.g., @StepUp

  • A tool that can detect early signs of hair loss or track hair growth and shedding phases (alopecia) – I read something similar in an article

  • Habit-breaking apps – for quitting alcohol, smoking, nail-biting, or other harmful habits

There’s definitely more.

Which modern-day health problems do you think are also serious and could inspire a great product? Think about the health issues we encounter the most today.

I’ve actually used an intermittent-fasting app for a while, and it was helpful.

But answering your question about new products, well, I think that one problem that feels huge today is nutrition overwhelm. People don’t need another calorie tracker, but what they need is guidance that adapts to real life.

So, I’d love to see a product that looks at my whole day, like my stress levels, sleep quality, movement, even cravings, and based on that, tells me what my body likely needs right now. Maybe it’s hydration, maybe more carbs, maybe magnesium-rich foods, etc. Something simple, humane, and actually helpful for everyday life.

@oksana_ch Agree with that. :)

@oksana_ch So basically, trackers and trackers of markers, right? Usually, it also calls for some wearable gadget in that case.

I think one of the most overlooked areas is posture and ergonomics, a tool that gently reminds you to correct posture could be huge.

@abod_rehman Just out of curiosity – what kind of positions you have when working with pc? (my secret tip: I sometimes lie on my belly lol) :D
