My favorite part of this launch is actually the CSV export. It has over 15 different engagement types broken down, and a lot more Tweets than there used to be. I built a CSV export analyzer here to show how you can play around with it: http://bustr.io/tad_export

@buster nice! Is there an API to query this data too? I'm sure the Buffer folks are thirsting for this. :) cc @joelgascoigne @CaroKopp, @brian_lovin

@rrhoover Not at the moment. But Simply Measured did update their Twitter Report to work with the CSV... we're keeping our ears open on how to best share this new data with the ecosystem. http://simplymeasured.com/blog/2...

@rrhoover @buster yes indeed, it would be incredible to be able to provide these additional metrics & data to our users/customers. If I can ever help brainstorming there, I'd be delighted to chat. Awesome job on this @buster, it is looking super slick! :-)
Thomas Knoll
@buster that deserves its *own* PH posts!
Buster
@thomasknoll Ha. I just built it in an hour. :)

Definitely going to start playing with this. I have always been underwhelmed by twitter analytics and yet twitter drives some of the most traffic.
Buster
@marcbarros Great, let me know if you have any questions or feedback about it. This is the first update to organic Tweet analytics since 2010... so have a lot to catch up on.

@buster it's a nice set of overall data. Would be great to go one step further and explain the why. All of us what to share/discuss things that others find relevant so underestanding what my followers are sharing, how i would compare to my peers, and insights into growing would be interesting. For example my followers jumped from like 2K to 10K overnight once (cool to see on a graph) but I have no idea why. Anyways, great progress.

@buster Congrats, this is awesome. It should incent more effective tweeting and a higher volume of tweeting. The organic analytics are also a nice 'gateway drug' toward the Twitter ads suite. Eventually would love to see the measure of 'people' or 'uniques' versus just impressions to answer the more conversational question of 'how many people read my tweet?'
Buster
@superfem I agree. And though we don't currently have any way to track unique reach, we did analyze 200 brand accounts and posted some research to our advertising blog about it: https://blog.twitter.com/2014/in... (see the "New insights from additional research" section).

@buster Thanks! Good read and also helpful tips re: tweet cadence and consistency.

Anybody want to play along? https://twitter.com/hashtag/twit... It's a little unsettling, guessing there will be a lot of variation in people's engagement rate/impressions/etc....

Excited to share this with the world today. Our blog post announcements is here: https://blog.twitter.com/2014/ne...

@buster Thank you for sharing this. Glad to see native twitter analytics without reliance upon a third party service.

Brands and companies have been thirsting for more data and I've personally been interested in better understanding my Twitter reach and engagement. Here's a screenshot of my activity: Looking forward to exploring this further with regards to @ProductHunt -- Twitter is a HUGE acquisition and engagement channel for us. @buster - how are the impressions measured, particularly from those using third party apps? 90% of my use of Twitter is through the desktop Tweetdeck app.
Buster
@rrhoover Impressions are counted whenever a Tweet is seen (either logged in or logged out) on twitter.com, or in our iPhone, iPad, or Android apps. It doesn't count places like embedded Tweets, or 3rd party apps.
Max Ogles
Looks awesome, Buster. Excited to start playing with it.
Buster
@maxogles Thanks, Max!

@buster * Is Twitter api support analytics feature? * May i able to see analytics of another person's tweet? * May i able to see analytics of webpages? I mean, in my website, there is "tweet button". Am i able to see Twitter analytics for my website?
Buster
@ozguralaz There's no API support yet. You *can* share your data with others... in the top right nav bar, select "Edit access to this account" and add any other accounts. Other people can give you access the same way. The idea of making some of this data public is super interesting too. As for website analytics, check out the "Twitter Cards" tab on analytics.twitter.com... if you add a single meta tag to your website, we will track all kinds of things for you. More information here: https://dev.twitter.com/docs/car... (that was our previous project earlier this year)

This is great @buster, thanks! I'm curious how impressions compare to # of followers...is there a good way to export # of followers over time?
Buster
@kaz Thanks, Adam! There's no way to export # of followers over time, but you can find some of that information on the Followers tab, and there are 3rd party ecosystem partners that track this over time too.

Buster
