Every time I needed a quick tool — check word count, encode something in Base64, calculate EMI on a loan — I'd Google it, click the first result, and spend the next 30 seconds closing popups, waiting for ads to load, or getting redirected to a sign-up page. Just to use a calculator. It happened so often I finally got frustrated enough to build my own. The rule I set for myself: every tool has to work instantly, no account, no data leaving your browser. That's it.
