What's Timeline Studio?
Timeline Studio is an AI-powered project timeline tool, currently in pilot. Instead of treating AI as a chatbot sidebar, every AI feature is wired directly into the timeline itself:
Generate timelines and cost estimates from a prompt Describe your project in plain English and AI builds a structured Gantt chart or a multi-role effort breakdown (Backend, Frontend, QA, Design) with durations and dates. Skip the blank canvas entirely.
AI Insight Analyzes your existing timeline and returns actionable scheduling advice: risks, bottlenecks, sequencing issues, and what to prioritize.
Risk Radar Computes critical path, float, fan-out, and dependency chain depth for every task, then displays colored risk dots (green/yellow/red) directly on task bars. Enhance with AI for plain-English risk explanations.
AI Impact Story Enter simulation mode, drag a task to simulate a slip, and AI generates a narrative explaining how the delay cascades: which tasks shifted, what's now at risk, and the cost impact.
AI Epic Breakdown Select any high-level task and AI decomposes it into subtasks with estimated durations, so you go from roadmap to detailed plan in seconds.
AI Dependency Suggestions AI scans your entire task list and suggests missing dependencies, shown as purple ghost arrows you can accept or dismiss.
AI Standup Meeting Generates a daily standup brief from your timeline. Tasks are categorized relative to today completed, in progress, upcoming, at risk formatted as copyable markdown you can paste into Slack or email.
AI Rewrite Task Name Rewrites vague task names into clear, actionable ones following PM best practices (start with a verb, be specific about scope).
Beyond AI, Simulation Mode lets you experiment with schedule changes non-destructively drag tasks, watch dependencies cascade automatically, see shift badges (+3d, -2d) and ghost bars showing original positions, then apply or discard. And when your timeline is ready, share it with a public link so anyone can view it without signing in perfect for stakeholders, clients, or cross-team visibility.
