*wistful sigh* I can hardly wait until I can afford to get a Tesla. I just finished re-reading Elon's biography and I'm just so obsessed with Tesla as a company and the mission behind it. Also, who can resist summoning your car- it's easier than getting your dog to "come!", not to mention the cool, futuristic factor of it.

@katesegrin Amen! Honestly, even if I had a million bucks, I would get one of the Tesla cars over a Ferrari or other hot sports cars. Mainly to support the mission behind it, because I love Elon Musk and the tech/genius ideas behind it all.

@dilyaraskar @katesegrin Could not agree more. I'm not into expensive cars -- but I love my Model S, it's like living in the future.

Why isn't this the top hunt?
Tony Xiao
@seanbolak It is now :)
Jaime Macias
How many hunts will this product have without a new model even needing to be released. Super impressive.
Joshua Dance
@jmacias That is part of the magic of over the air updates. Your car gets better, and gets new features without you having to buy a new one.
Jaime Macias
@joshdance @jmacias oh I realize that. Im not being surprised in my comment, merely wondering how many valid hunts it will garner. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes the most uprooted product over variety of feature releases.
Daniel Abas
@jmacias that's the beauty, it just keeps getting better :)
Liora
@jmacias ah but we don't wonder why each app gets it's own hunt, even though we use the same phone or computer to access it! It's hardware vs. software :)
Drew Falkman
Obviously Musk wanted KITT as a child.
Matthew Erley
Are you able to also autonomously send it in to the garage?
Rick Klau
Hunter
@matthewerley Yep. Pull up to the garage, it'll open the door, park itself, and close the door.

Tesla keeps pushing the boundaries where others are afraid to. Other car companies can clearly develop a similar software, but the fear of consumers' misuse is stopping them from pushing progress forward. It's all about risk mitigation. Tesla is well known to be bolder than others and to be able to handle bad publicity like a few other car companies can, but I guess they have an advantage of a more mature customer base.

I need this, not sure why, but I do.

Now if only my BMW i3 could do this :D Very excited to maybe have this on my future Model 3? Hopefully comes standard! *fingers crossed*
Aarjav Trivedi
@reot004 Every car should be able to do this but having seen the i3 do basically this at CES last year, I think the i3 will be higher up on that list than others.
Reony T
@aarjav @reot004 Yeah my model has a very good adaptive cruise control with lane assist as well. So I'm sure they're close to that

This is how product should be developed. Simple (relatively speaking) first steps, with a clear dream-like end goal: "Eventually, your Tesla will be able to drive anywhere across the country to meet you, charging itself along the way."

Soon...
