teon - your civil engineering workmate

by
Most AI tools can search your documents. Teon does the actual work. Civil infrastructure teams spend hours every week doing work that requires diligence and consistency — not engineering judgement. conformance reviews. Spec lookups. Chasing hold points. Cross-referencing test results against requirements. All of it traceable, all of it mandatory, all of it eating the time of engineers who should be doing something else. Teon is the workmate that handles this.

Hi Product Hunt I'm Adam, and together with my co-founder we built teon — an AI workmate for civil infrastructure teams. Between us we bring 40+ years of complementary experience. I've spent 20+ years building enterprise technology systems solving the same problem everywhere I went: teams drowning in documents, making decisions without the information they needed. My co-founder brings 20+ years delivering major infrastructure projects across Queensland — motorway programs, flood recovery operations — and is currently completing a PhD at the University of Queensland, researching how generative AI can solve domain shift in road asset management: building models that detect defects regardless of surface material or location. This could be applied to unsealed roads and a number of other assets. That combination — enterprise systems thinking meets deep civil engineering and AI research — is what teon is built on. We kept seeing the same thing on civil projects: engineers losing hours to reviews, graduates interrupting senior staff for clause questions already answered in the spec, and project knowledge walking out the door when team members rolled off. Teon is the workmate we wish those teams had. It reads your project documents, checks every item against the spec and the evidence, and drafts the conformance report — every finding cited to the clause, ready for an engineer's sign-off. Off-the-shelf AI fails on local conditions or requirements because it wasn't built for them. Having an AI subscription is not the same as having AI capability. Teon's skills are built from first principles and reviewed by registered engineers before they ship. We're in private beta with Australian civil firms now — would love your honest feedback. We are always happy to have a chat and understand how we can solve issues
