Hi Lýdia,
Great news — you can actually name a group conversation AND use emotions in the desktop app 🎉
To name a group conversation: create a conversation or open an existing conversation, then select the settings icon at the top right of the conversation window. From here you will see the option to name the conversation. *Note - only the creator of the room can rename it. If you aren't the originator of the room then you cannot rename it.
To add emojis to your messages if you type : into the message field, you will see a list of emoji suggestions. This list will update as you type more characters, for example, :b. You can find a full list of supported emojis on this cheat sheet. As well as those listed on the cheat sheet, traditional short emojis such as :) and :( are also supported.
Let me know if you have any questions?

Slack runs the risk of getting bloated like Evernote did.
If you use it as research base, integrate the key features, leave the rest out and find out the one or other magic sauce for teamwork chat specificall you will be more competitive and resource efficient. Please don't try to be heros or bloat this up. The 20/80 Copycats for Free and add some valuable stuff on your own and that's all one can wish for.
