Tbh, the app started as a script generator for TikTok videos. It was supposed to be a side project while we were working on AI research related to speech-to-video. However, once we built the prototype, it was obvious that we’d stumbled onto a much bigger, more powerful idea.

Those who worked with me, know I like to talk 😊, not because I like hearing myself speak but because people are usually so inspiring and many ideas pour out.
Now in certain instances OASIS comes to the rescue with summarization and idea list generation, capturing a raw uninterrupted flow.
Congrats on the launch! I'm looking forward to trying out new custom outputs.
Question: how do the credit subscriptions compare to other paid options? Poe custom bots for example.
Feels like we're moving into the time of dozens of subscriptions like we have with streaming.
@convergeonserge It costs us money to use the 3rd-party APIs that power many of the core features of OASIS, so we introduced a new Credit system to align our customers interests and our own. Our goal is to ensure that we provide customers with exceptional value while still building a sustainable business independent of venture capital subsidies. Here's how it works:
- Each output (blog post, email, etc) you create uses credits
- 1 credit = ~300 words total (transcript + output)
- Longer inputs & outputs use more credits
- New accounts get 30 free credits
- Need more credits? Subscribe
We offer two subscription levels:
Pro
- $14.99/month for 2,500 credits
- $149/year for 30,000 credits
Basic
- $4.99/month for 250 credits
- $49/year for 3,000 credits
As you can probably tell, the Pro plan is the best deal. Pro offers 10x the # credits as Basic for just 3x the price. Unless you're transcribing 3+ hour Lex Fridman podcasts (some people have tried), Pro subscribers should not run out of credits.
If you do somehow run out of credits, you can buy more. Pro members who go over the credit list can buy more nearly at-cost (e.g. $25 for 10k credits). If you're a Basic plan subscriber, you are better off switching to a Pro plan instead of buying more credits.
You need an active membership to redeem unused credits, so if your membership lapses, your credits will be unreedemable. However, if you re-start your subscription, you'll be able to access all your old credits alongside the new ones.
Hello, I recently had the opportunity to transcribe an entire 20-minute podcast episode, and I was impressed by how precise the transcription was. The punctuation, spelling of names, and paragraph breaks were all accurate. However, the one issue I had was with the subscription options. I would prefer to pay based on my usage rather than having to subscribe to either of the two options that are currently offered. Despite this, I believe that the ability to effortlessly convert spoken words into written text is an amazing product. It has the potential to make communication more accessible and inclusive for everyone.
Huge fan of OASIS. It’s become one of my top apps and made it to my home screen ahead of almost everything else I’ve downloaded in the last three years! I use it to better communicate with my portfolio company founders (OASIS one — full disclosure), my team, and even my friends and family. Keep up the great work, team!
