StateStats - Interactive U.S. state data visualization platform

by
StateStats is an interactive platform for exploring U.S. demographic and economic data through maps, charts, and downloadable datasets. Compare all 50 states over time using public data from sources like the U.S. Census and BLS. Explore trends in income, unemployment, population, age, home value, and more through choropleth maps, comparison graphs, rankings, and exports designed to make public data easier to understand and explore.

Hey Product Hunt 👋 I built StateStats to make U.S. public data easier to explore visually. A lot of state-level demographic and economic data already exists publicly through sources like the Census and BLS, but actually comparing trends across states usually means digging through spreadsheets, PDFs, or government dashboards that are difficult to navigate. I wanted to create something cleaner and more interactive: • Choropleth maps for all 50 states • Historical trend charts • State-to-state comparisons • Downloadable datasets • A more modern, visual experience for exploring public data One thing that evolved during development was the focus on usability and presentation. Early versions were much more data-heavy and technical, but over time I focused more on making the platform feel approachable and visually intuitive without losing transparency around the data itself. Would genuinely love feedback, ideas for new datasets/features, or thoughts on where the platform could go next. Thanks for checking it out!
