👋 Hey Product Hunt Folks! Thanks for checking out State of SaaS Onboarding! 🤩 🗓️ We created the State of SaaS Onboarding annual report because back in 2019, when we looked for information about the best onboarding practices in SaaS, we...couldn't find any! 🧑‍🔬 So - towards the end of 2019, I channeled the quantitative researcher in me and painstakingly logged into 1000 SaaS companies to see what they have under the hood for their new users! 👩‍🔬 I must say, we got a bit carried away at this point...and after 2000 hours and 4 months of this research we collected a bunch of really valuable insights into the most common UI patterns used by SaaS companies to onboard their new users. The first report, published in February 2020, became insanely popular in the Product World - so we decided to take a deep dive into the SaaS onboarding world again and bring you an updated, post-covid edition in 2021! 🦠 It goes without saying 2020 was a hell of a year. We were especially curious how the pandemic, which impacted businesses worldwide, affected the way SaaS businesses onboard their new users compared to 2019. 👉 So if you're interested to know that as well - we took it a notch up this year and looked into 1200 B2B & B2C SaaS companies to answer one question: **what were the most common and best onboarding practices in SaaS in 2020 compared to 2019?** Let's dive in!
