Congrats on launch!

Real-time feedback is the one part of learning guitar you can't get without a teacher in the room. Everything else is already on YouTube. Curious whether it's catching timing and cleanliness or mostly pitch, since that distinction is basically the whole product.

YouTube is a fantastic library, but a terrible mirror. The engine doesn't just check pitch - it actively analyzes your timing and the cleanliness of your playing (like catching muted strings or fret buzz) in real-time. We wanted it to feel like a real teacher actually listening to how you play, not just what you play.

Congrats on the launch!

Does it support all guitar types?

Hey Jolene! Absolutely! As long as it has 6 strings, we're ready to rock! 🎸

real-time feedback is the bit that changes practice, how hard was the note detection to get feeling this responsive?

spot on! To answer your question: it took a lot of coffee and sleepless nights! Nailing that zero-lag responsiveness was incredibly challenging, but seeing the fretboard light up instantly the moment you hit a chord makes it completely worth it. Appreciate the support!

real-time feedback is the exact thing a weekly lesson can't give you, so that's a good wedge. curious how it holds up on a cheap audio interface.

real-time course correction is everything for building good habits. And no worries about the gear - our zero-lag engine is super optimized, so even a basic, budget audio interface handles the detection flawlessly. Let us know how it works for you!

Hey congrats on the launch!

Everything looks really slick - great video, website, content. As a guitar player can't wait to try your app. Even have the USB interface for my guitar!

Also have you heard about Apple's (no affiliation) - seems like a great way to bring in AI features for music apps.

Thanks so much, Demian! Since you already have a USB interface, you’re all set for the best detection experience. And thanks for pointing us toward Apple’s Music Understanding framework. We’ll definitely explore it! 🎸🚀

Real-time note detection on an interactive fretboard with no perceptible lag is a hard technical problem, nicely done. Curious about the audio pipeline given the USB interface support on macOS. How well does detection hold up with a distorted amp tone compared to a clean acoustic signal?

Great question! The algorithm is currently optimized for clean tones, so accuracy may drop with distortion. We’re working to improve detection across distortion and other effects. A USB interface generally improves accuracy by reducing background and microphone noise.

Awesome! Is it recommended for kids?

That’s something we’re still validating, but music is a universal language and there’s no age limit when it comes to learning an instrument! 🎸

This feels like the kind of tool that keeps a beginner from quitting in month two. Instant feedback on the fretboard sounds so much better than recording yourself and guessing what went wrong. Do the practice routines adapt over time based on what the scoring shows you keep missing?

we built this specifically to keep people playing past month two. Yes, the lessons and exercises adapt your level and the AI remembers everything you miss and dynamically adjusts your routines so you are always improving exactly what you need to.
