The gap isn't building with AI anymore. It's trusting what gets built.

I keep seeing this with legacy codebases. Agents can write code fast, but on a big messy repo the real blocker is confidence that nothing quietly broke. Back when I built everything by hand, I never trusted just the diff and green tests. I'd run it with fake data, click through the UI, seed the database, sometimes push to a staging box just to see it behave in the wild.

Agents can do all of that too. They just don't by default, and it's more painful to set up than it should be. Give them a paved path and they'll use it. There's a whole market opening up here around verification tooling for AI-assisted teams, not more code generation.

I've been building SoloVault to surface exactly these kinds of early market signals and turn them into concrete things worth building.

If agents maintained their own verification layer, would you actually let them merge unattended?
