Snapr - Timeline-Based Video Annotations + AV1 Export
Back with another Snapr update đź‘‹
This week, I focused on making screen recordings easier to explain and annotate — especially for tutorials, bug reports, walkthroughs, and product demos.
Snapr now supports timeline-based annotations directly in video recordings.
You can add:
• Arrows
• Shapes
• Blur effects
• Pen drawings
• Text
• Highlights
• Numbering
…all synced to the timeline while the video plays.
I wanted recording edits to feel as natural as annotating a screenshot, but for motion and flow.
Also included in this update:
• AV1 export support for better screen recording quality
• Improved mouse motion correction accuracy
• New “Open editor immediately” action after capture
Lots of small improvements in this release, but together they make the recording workflow feel much smoother.
Would love to hear what feels missing in recording tools for you.

Next up for Snapr: effects for making demo videos feel much more polished like zoom, speed, etc. Excited to share more soon.
