Slite Discussions - Docs + decision making for remote teams

Slite is where remote teams get their best work done. Our latest update merges the two most important elements of remote collaboration: documentation and decision-making. Start discussions and finish with clear, well-documented decisions.

Heyo folks, I'm so pumped to open Discussions to all of you today! It's the result of a decade of learnings from the best remote teams in the world, the pioneers that faced the problem we all know, way before us. Last year, after interviewing hundreds of remote teams, it got clear the remote old timers already had the solution to the issue we all struggled with. Important decisions were slow to be taken, required endless Zoom calls, and were getting lost in endless chat threads or scattered comments, disconnected from their actual work. That's why I'm so happy to introduce this new Slite with Discussions, built upon these learnings. They let teams drive focused, rich conversations, and clear decisions, right in your documentation, where work is already happening! This has been absolutely game changer for us and our first thousands beta testers, I hope it will be for you as well Try it for free at slite.com and let us know what you think in the comments! We'll be around with the wonderful Slite team all day, aks question here, reach out on Twitter and share the love 🙌 Los geeeeht's! Chris

@christophepas Loooove this feature so much. It makes so much sense to me after the last few years, where I worked in a "hybrid" company before joining Slite. Too often decisions and important conversations were had in Zoom or Slack, miscommunicated, lost through the cracks or not transparent to the whole team. Discussions is 💯

@christophepas congrats on the launch!

Thanks a ton @henrique_cruz1 !

Our team has been using Slite and discussions exclusively for all internal and customer-shared documentation. Discussions have been such a huge unlock for moving some of our most meaningful async conversations away from Email + Slack, right to where we are actually getting work done. In Slite. All in one place. The world is finally ready for what the team has been so hard at work at, welcome to Async. Welcome to Slite. ❤️

Thanks for all your help building this @alexhbass, it wouldn't be the same without your support 😘 (and we'll steal this tagline 🤩)
Charley DAVID
It would have been a lot harder without the support of some of our best users, like you @alexhbass 🫶
Julien Rougeron
Thaaaanks @alexhbass And thanks for all your feedbacks during the making, you rock 🙌

Cheers @alexhbass 🙌

I've been using Slite for years and had the chance to join the Discussions beta a few months ago. Keeping up with async threads is hard — Lots of ongoing discussions and countless meeting hours with no-decision. Slite Discussions makes them much more effective and actionable. It helps you track them, commit, and start doing — making remote work fun again. The Slite team put a lot of thinking and hard work into this. Congrats on the launch, and keep it up!

@fmerian thanks so much @forum - it means a lot to us! I will miss our calls during the beta, but I know it won't be long until we're in touch again!
Arnaud Rinquin
We've been dog-fooding Discussions 💬 for months now It has dramatically increased the quality and the confidence in the decisions we take ☑️ It took me a while to break the "Ask on Slack" old habit but allowing everyone to participate at its own pace 😌 is game changer!
Jon McCullough
@arnaudrinquin 100%. It really has been a gamechanger once I made the mental shift away from going to Slack for input from the team.
Edouard Uguen
So coool! Congrats, looking forward to trying it 🙌🏻
Brieuc Sebillotte
thanks @edouard_uguen1 !! Wait for the ability to convert Slack threads in discussions ;)
fmerian
@brieuc1 Spoiler alert 👀
Brieuc Sebillotte
@fmerian ahah yes indeed, you miss nothing ;)
Simo Lemhandez
Congrats for the launch! 🤩 Documenting decisions and not having them siloted between calls, emails and Slack is a massive pain
Brieuc Sebillotte
Thanks @simolemhandez!! A "convert Slack threads to Slite" is coming ;)
Rob McMackin
This is huge - actually fixing remote communication rather than adding more noise and clutter ✨
Fadeelah Al-horaibi
Thanks @rob_mcmackin. 👏🏽 I love the way you've phrased it here - spot on!
Cynthia
Thanks @rob_mcmackin ! 😍
Laure Albouy
Slite already helps remote teams work together, but this new addition takes it one step further by not just promoting async work but making it the default way to work! Congrats team 👏

This is an absolute game-changer! As a fully remote company, getting to the decision in a fully async setting is difficult: - timelines are hard to track - notifying the right people is a nightmare - commitments get lost To solve for that, a lot of companies need to switch to synchronous conversations to ensure that a decision is made — Slite Discussions changes that. Congrats to @christophepas & his amazing team on an amazing product & delivery here!
Christophe Pasquier
@widawskij You help us so much Jo, thanks so much for your expertise and kindness helping us course correct!!
Fadeelah Al-horaibi
@widawskij @christophepas +1! Thanks a ton, @widawskij 👏🏽
